KEEPING CURRENT

- Welcome back to my channel!
Join me on a quick circuit around Wellesbourne Airfield. This was actually filmed on New Years Eve, the tower had closed early at 1pm, and it's why you can hear me making blind 'Wellesbourne Traffic' calls rather than ‘Wellesbourne Information'.
My last flight was 64 days ago, and since then I've only completed two take off and landings in that time. To stay current (to be able to take passengers up with me) I have to complete at least 3 take off and landings in the last 90 days. My previous flight was 110 days ago. Time flies when you are having fun!
Please subscribe if you are new to the channel, hit the thumbs up button if you like my videos, and please leave me a comment I'd love to hear from you.
Now sit back, relax, and enjoy the flight!

I saw G-OWOW off your right wing, my friend flies that Cessna haha. Came here from your post on the UK Private pilots Facebook group.
Awesome, thank you for watching appreciate it.
Good to see you back in the air again! All the best for the new year!
Thanks Scott. Hope you have a good one too buddy ;)
That squishy nosewheel could do with some air mate... :-)
You're probably right Paul!
Nice video! I know the feeling and frustrations of trying to keep current in the winter.
Thank you Joe. I know but I feel like we are going to have a great year ahead. Fingers crossed for blue skies and tailwinds!
Always enjoy flying with you Adam. Interesting talk through with a nice mixture of camera angles.
Thanks Tim, need to catch up on your latest video as I've been pulling a few late nights editing!! Oh the glamour! My Mrs ould love your horses!!!
Nice video.... the days counts quickly when you haven´t flown for some time... last year couple of times 5 weeks passed between flights and I was sometimes a little bit nervous about I would get rusty - Usually it was just in my head - As soon as the engine was on it felt like I´ve flown yesterday - Now I haven´t flown since november but I flown each 4-5 days in simulator (X-plane) and it helps keeping the mindset warm if you do all the same tasks (check flight controls, run up, checklists, QNH and every process)... It´s very important to fly regularly but tight schedule and bad weather is always the factor...
When are you getting back up? Keeping a sharp mind is good advice, and great excuse to get on X-Plane too! ;)
thats a cool looking Piper with the windows overhead , first time I,ve ever spotted one with the overhead panels . Is that a 140 or a 180 ?
Thank you, always gets a lot of comments. She's a180. Thank you for watching Aidan, much appreciated :)
Great little video Adam, we must go flying soon, I need to get current too, haven’t flown since Le Touquet in the Summer.
Thank you ☺️ Absolutely we shd plan a trip somewhere 👌🏼
Great video
I will be re - joining take flight in the near future👍🏻
Awesome see you there soon :) and thanks for the add.
Great video
Thank you for watching :)
Nice. Is that a PA28 with extra windows ? Makes for a light cockpit.
Steve Carroll yeah it’s unusual but I love the extra viz
Nice video - is it me or is the front tyre slightly flat :)
Yeah I think you are right, someone else pointed that out. Thank you for watching 👍
I wondered about that too!
Always enjoyed your videos !
I fly at Almat in coventry , but I hear take flight have a great fleet but unfortunately a lack of instructors?
I guess as a PPL holder access to that fleet would be great!!
Hey George, TF do have a great fleet, not sure if that's true about the instructors tbh, but worth a flight over and have a cup of tea with the team. I have been a member for 8 years now. Love it.
PS. thank you watching!
I saw the fleet lined up looking fantastic on my last visit , I think the most important thing about a flying club is the community though! @@PrivatePilotFlightVlogs
George Ward yeah agreed. 👍🏻👍🏻
Gosh, I have done tighter circuits in a 747, why the wide circuit old lad?
It wasn’t that wide buddy just have to avoid the villages. Assume you know the airfield?
Great stuff mate - nicely filmed. :)
Thanks Rory - appreciate that 👍👍
