I trust in Vergilius' choice, his intuition is super strong
True... But still, I'm in shock over his choices! On one hand, I can see how those 3 can be potentially great as a team, but on the other hand.... it can go really badly. haha
this is quite literally a case of book smarts vs street smarts
dante’s team is definitely good at making conclusions from evidence, but theyre all either socially awkward or are way too verbose to be understood.
verg’s team on the other hand would likely be much more capable of pressing/squeezing out information. hong lu comes from an affluent family which means he is likely knowledgable when it comes to how wealthy people act. ryoshu is also much more sharp than people give her credit for, remember that she deduced that shi association killed shrenne in canto IV (she also makes another correct inference in canto VI). rodion literally grew up in a rough backstreets and likely knows the way of life very well, giving their team an edge if any backstreets shenanigans occur. rodion is also very willing to work as long as there is a nice reward involved.
Woah, you make very strong points! I think you might have changed my mind about the 3 being on one team! To think that I doubted Vergilius and his choices... Shame on me! Makes me look forward to the day when I reach this Intervallo now!

Dante's picks would make sense in a classic murder mystery in the veins of Holmes or Poirot. But in the City? You'd better have a Jack Bauer and a couple of Columbos on the team.
That's true... Those 3 would be the perfect choices in such context! I guess in this Chapter 6.5, it'd be better to have more unconventional choices.
Faust is a literal genius
Yi Sang is a literal scientist
Mersault is a literal chef

Dieci Rodion, W Ryoshu and Dieci Lu work incredibly well as a team.
I have high trust in Verg's picks, but that might be because I've been hyped for him ever since I read Leviathan, so a bias xD
Still have yet to read that, but somehow, your words make me have high expectations for it when the day comes for me to read it!
Dante's team is the safe pick, where they aren't going to cause incidents.
Vergilius' team is the results pick, where they can get the job done better, but are also a lot more of a loose cannon.
Also makes me wonder if people need to put together good IDs for those three, because one of the previous Intervallo had a brief moment of two sinners only.
You have a point there. Let's just hope the loose cannon aspect won't be too much!
Let's see,
Ryoshu would be the best pick for forensics. Normally that would be Heath but he had a lot of screentime already. She is a sadist and expert in violence, she'd probably be able to tell at a glance exactly how someone was murdered.
Rodion is the social butterfly of the team. Being rather attractive she'd be the best pick for interrogating suspects as she'd be the best at buttering them up and lulling them into a false sense of security.
Hong-Lu meanwhile shows a much greater deal of insight. He seems like he spends every second he is not on-screen smoking the City's biggest blunt but then suddenly says the exact right thing at the exact right time.
Dante's choices are not bad by any stretch either but as all three of them operate the most logical among the sinners they also seem too similar to each other.
Vergilius ended up choosing the most well-rounded team in every aspect in that case.
I think this is either going to be Vergilius picking people for Dante’s team or we are having a race to see who can solve the mystery 1st. I kinda hope it’s my 2nd thought.
THAT WOULD BE SO DANG COOL if it was the second one! I would 100% want to see that, ngl.
You are underestimating the sinners in the same vain Dante does all throughout LCB's journey
The 12 are extremely capable.... In different ways, yet because of ther chaotic and clashing personalities Dante always relies on Mr. Salt, Faust (who knows all outcomes), FLY BROKEN WIIIIINGS!!!, and sometimes our very own fish(mael)
The rest are an afterthought in most situations...
Yet the sinners still show their expertise from time to time
Don has a deep well of knowledge of all things Fixer
Outis is probably your go-to choice when it comes to workshops (as seen in S.E.A.)
Hong Lu has shown having a great emotional intelligence, while impersonating Young-ji in Yi Sang's play, and when conforting Saude with just the right words about Effie
Heath on the other hand is great at understanding the "why?" behind everyone's motivation... He connected even to Marile, one of the heads of the Tech Liberation Alliance, so deeply in motivation, Marile basically wanted to hire him
Rodion at the casino showed proficiency at cold reading, hot reading and improvisation... Being a gambler all her life allows one to acquire certain skills after all
And I could list more and more of the sinners' strengths, but I'll leave it here
My point being
Each sinner has their niche... Going always with Rational sinner #1,2,3 and 4 is not the answer, and Dante drveloped a certain dependency on them ever since he saw everyone doing the clown at the Streets of Gambling
Love all sinner equally
And allow them to shine!

That's true! I sometimes forget that they're all capable in certain ways. XD Makes me look forward to seeing how those 3 in particular work together though since it's very different from what we usually see.

Btw, heads up, remember the Intervallos are ALSO events in their own right...
I already explained how they work once, so this will be just a quick reminder:
- the events include some IDs and/or EGOs that are considered "seasonal" meaning that if you don't get them the season they are released, you'll have to wait for an entire season to be able to get them
- the events also include some sort of "shop" were you can get rewards in exchange of some "event currency", the rewards range from some XP tickets to full on free IDs/EGOs
- to get the corresponding "event currency" you just need to play story stages or the mirror... You get MORE currency if you have the event IDs/EGOs somewhere in your team (you don't need build and play with them, so long as they are somewhere, the bonus is applied), and even MORE currency if you play the corresponding Intervallo (something that you won't need to worry about since, well.... 6.5 is pretty far away XD)
And that's the gist of it... Details may or may not change for the new Intervallo, but Project Moon has been consistent with how they play...
All this is to tell you to check the event store once it opens because you could get a free ID or EGO by just playing normally, and even if you don't... EXP tickets and Enkephalin Boxes are always useful
to be fair. those 3 i think only vergil will be able to fully control them. i mean what choice does he have? DON? LMAO
Ryoshu sense is great like how she detected that assasin in canto 4
Rodion has display her cleverness in canto 2 in her gamble
Hong Lu has great observation skills
Imagine if it was Don, Outis, and Sinclair. That would be quite a trio to see under Vergilius! haha

Faust would get caught up in explaining things that has nothing to do with the case, Mersault would solve the case immediately, but won't say anything because Dante didn't ask, and Yi Sang would get distracted by a potato he found on the ground.
Huh, when you put it that way, it makes me realize that Vergilius really knew what he was doing when choosing the other three. haha
