When I was a little girl my great great auntie Francis would take me in the garden and teach me about the plants and animals in her garden. Those moments became some of my most precious memories 🥰 For sure, your niece will remember these moments with much affection!
Did somebody say worms 🪱...if that isn't a gardener or angler in the making. I love spring, the waking, the hope and joy of it. I look for sighns of spring everyday. Thank you for taking us down to your garden Catherine 🌷🌷🌷
My Mum and my Grandson (age5) have such a fabulous Great grandmother/great grandson relationship. When he sees a Mr Middleton delivery he says “oh Nana not more plants” 😂😂😂
I just love and appreciate how honest and real you are, Catherine. Many a time when I was younger, I spent a morning in the garden with a cup of sweet tea and a hangover! Love to see your garden start to wake up and say hello as I wait for our snow and cold to be over with ❄️love from Canada 🇨🇦
Uh oh... your nail tech is not going to be happy! 😂🤣 the song playing when you were planting with Lilly was beautiful. A bit sad, but beautiful. Your garden is looking so alive! I can hear the excitement in your voice! God bless ya Catherine.
Thank you for the lovely winter garden day💕 When pinching seedlings wait for the second (or third) true leaf to come.. the first leaves are actually the two half's of the seed. FYI Nice gardening with you 🤠
Thank you for my Sunday ray of Catherine! You are a ray of sunshine! Love seeing everything sprouting! So many tulips coming and love seeing the daffodils!
Living vicariously through you! I’ve got a few months still before spring. I bought a greenhouse today! A little smaller than yours and I’m so excited!!
I was smiling from ear to ear and even felt a tear rolling over my cheek, just by seeing you and your little cousin planting the seeds. So glad children learn how to plant and feeling what nature is all about, you are a blessing for them as an auntie 👍🥰
I watch this just as I prepare for another snow. But my snowdrops popped up their heads as the snow from previous storm melted. I loved to see them. I know spring will come eventually. Lol
I've planted my cosmos in empty toilet paper rolls and put them in a plastic covered tray. I've kept them misted, and they have come up. I am so happy. I've got other flowers and veggies as well. Happy gardening!
I love those first signs of spring, always makes me smile. Wow, so many daffodils, mine are only just starting to peek through, and a couple of tulips too. Today I also saw our friendly blackbird doing his little mating dance...nesting season is on its way😊
Love love love hearing all your robins and other feathered friends!! Here in New England the Northern Cardinals and Carolina Wrens are talking alot about spring, but still a while to go for us. Heard the first Red-Winged Blackbird of the year this week. About an inch of very fluffy, very glittery snow yesterday-- pretty but I'm ready for green!
Watching you work in the dirt makes me long for Spring. Not much green here in the upper Midwest. Tried to scrape off a layer of ice so the sun could melt the many layers below!
No mulching yet. Had snow Thursday, today and they are saying more on Tuesday so it will be a while before I see the ground. For now, I have to just garden thru your videos.
Just got 45cm of snow overnight, on the west coast of Canada. I’m moving to Ireland!! You seem to be at least 2 months ahead of us. Thanks for the glimpses of spring! Be patient with those sweet peas, they often germinate at wildly different rates.
Your videos are a delight to watch Catherine! I love that you are getting the spring bulbs popping up but that means we are going into Autumn after a summer of rain, more rain, a couple of storms, Cyclone Gabrielle, more rain etc etc - oh - and sprinkles of glorious days. Now I’m looking forward to the next Dainty Diaries to see your Niece’s new bedroom makeover reveal?👏👌🥰❤️🇳🇿
I can t wait to see how your garden will transform into the cottage garden you re dreaming of. I will accompany your journey for sure, dear Catherine....
Nice to see your green grass and your flowers starting to bloom. We finally rid of snow and seeing grass again. But then we were hit with another snow storm, which totally covered us with snow again. At least I can enjoy your garden for now. Much love from Canada ❤️♥️🇨🇦
You always make me smile and lots of times laugh. I sure needed this tonight because I'm so heartbroken. My two 7month old kitties are dyeing of renal failure. I rescued them as babies so they were already in rough shape. I thought they were healthy now but they both took a turn down hill at the same time. Taking them in tomorrow to send them to the rainbow bridge. Thank you for helping me smile.
I have a few self-sown sweet peas randomly popping up in my garden, about as big as yours. The only thing is, it's still summer here! 33 degrees Celsius today! Also, i left bulbs in pots which i planted 10-11 months ago, lasagne style. They are coming up too! I am sure this not normal! I can't wait for autumn weather, it's too hot to get anything done! Love what you're doing in your garden!
I've not commented before , but I had to tell you that I have just purchased your book and it's lovely .Thank you .I love your ideas and your videos are beautiful .Love from Cheshire x 💕

Isn’t it just the best time of the year……I always feel overwhelmed when I first go into the garden in Spring but this year because of the milder weather I have done so much and got ahead of myself. Waiting for a compost bin to arrive and I’m going to have a go at making compost for the first time…..exciting garden days ahead😉.

Am so jealous, i still have months to go before planting anything. However I get to live vicariously through your garden. Thanks for sharing.
Won’t be long until you’ll be planting too ♥️
Pinching out after the second set of true leaves encourages plant to be more bushy and then more flowers
I've planted my cosmos in empty toilet paper rolls and put them in a plastic covered tray. I've kept them misted, and they have come up. I am so happy. I've got other flowers and veggies as well. Happy gardening!

@@DaintyDiaries so true Catherine 💗
It's the sweetpea flowers that smell. I wouldn't start pinching out until they're in individual pots. - Frances
Just got 45cm of snow overnight, on the west coast of Canada. I’m moving to Ireland!! You seem to be at least 2 months ahead of us.
Thanks for the glimpses of spring!
Be patient with those sweet peas, they often germinate at wildly different rates.
Give the sweet pea seedlings a quarter turn once a week to keep them climbing up straight
Catherine you are a wonderful auntie… what a treasure 💕
Sincerely, Susan
