    My question is about the final 3d appearance. I was looking at making an ic socket where an ic like ag3524 will be plugged in. But the 3d layout here appears like the ic itself is what you created. How can I make the switch

    • @ScottCard
      @ScottCard  3 года назад

      There are three ways to deal with the 3d portion:
      1) import the file as package from Snap EDA or Synaptics
      2) Create or locate the CAD model and import it as an IGS or STP model
      3)use the text based creator.
      For your switch, I would recommend solution #2.

      You can add a spice model, but another option could be to use a similar device and modify it. For example, use a generic opamp to build a specific ic.

    How can I design pcb using through hole technology (THT)

    • @ScottCard

      The default is through hole when you choose parts that have the correct pad style. When making parts, be sure that the pad has the correct diameter and pad size according to the datasheet.

    Good afternoon, my name is Eugene.
    Please help me with my educational work in the PROTEUS program.
    In my project, there is a remote control with three buttons:
    1. Short start.
    2. Start
    3. Stop.
    Each button consists of three contacts (common, normally closed, normally open).
    I was able to make a remote with one button and pass the simulation perfectly, but I can’t even get two buttons.
    I did on the basis of the switch (SW-SPDT-MOM).
    Please help me with my project.
    Your video is very useful, I need to build a lot of prints and a lot of contacts.

    • @ScottCard
      @ScottCard  2 года назад

      If this is a set of industrial controlles, I usually use the button. They can latch as NO or NC. I then use the switch to simulate things like a toggle. From what you are describing, these would be integrated into a set of contractors. There are relays in Proteus that work for this. Hope this helps, sorry for the late response.

    Sir can u tell me how to draw line in the pcb design and how to connect one ic to other ic direct in pcb layout??

    • @ScottCard
      @ScottCard  2 года назад

      We do not usually do this but, you could place a package (not a compoant) and connect the pins using track mode. This is not recommended however as you should first make your schematic.

  • @prabaiswarals.ganasehmurth6786

    I created a custom component but it doesnt appear into pcb layout any idea what might be the cause of it?

    • @ScottCard
      @ScottCard  Год назад

      Be sure that the footprint is associated with the part and...there is a part iddentifier (eg. U1). Otherwise, the part will be ommited from the PCB and BoM. Hope this helps!

    Many thanks. Skillful work .Please help. Where can I find downloadable Proteus component libraries eg TLV3501 simulation libraries

    • @ScottCard
      @ScottCard  2 года назад

      Unfortunately, the only simulation library I know of if the one that comes with Proteus. You can add models from manufactures but, it is not easy and often does not work. You can ask Labcenter to create a model but, that often takes a long time if they decide to include it. What I will often do is to pick a similar model for simulation, then substitute it for the part I want. like the MAX4326. I do have a video planned for simulation but it is a big one and I need to do more research before I make it.
