There are three gorgon sisters in greek mythos so it makes sense that there are 3 gorgon pokemon.

In Greek Mythology there were actually three named Gorgons, so having three Pokémon based on the gorgons for two Greek based regions makes sense.
The Hopee line is referencing Mexican Jumping Beans, the beans jump because there are wasp larva inside of them, they make the bean jump by hitting the walls with their heads, which they use to escape from harsh sunlight while they grow and pupate.

@fero-ant2657 yes, however, I am quite disappointed, because Greek people must learn English to play Pokémon, because games are not translated in Greek, even if Greece is beloved

@fero-ant2657 Except the likelihood of it actually happening decreases with every Greek fan region, since then Gamefreak is potentially seen as ripping off that region.

In the original Greek myths there are three gorgons (Stheno, Euryale and Medusa), so that's why and I think it's very clever to have each gorgon be it's own Fakemon.

15:40 there isn't a dolphin with a bird beak but there is a fish with a bird beak it's called the parrot fish they get that name because they have a very bird like beak (duh) but a interesting tidbit besides the fact it scrapes algae off of coral it can blow a big bubble to hide it's smell from predators
My only annoyance with the starters is the water Starter belongs in an Australian-based region not so much in Greece.
Funny thing about the fire starter: gen 2 was originally going to have a fire bear cub as the fire starter (Honoguma is the Japaneae name) instead of Cyndaquil, so it may actually happen at some point in the future. GF has been known to recycle or reference old designs in new gens (Munna apparently was referenced in gen 1 and even Dhelmise by some guy in Slateport in gen 3).
They just broke the trend for the Chinese zodiac starters so it is very possible.

Someone may have said this already but I think Regivile also takes inspiration from Barad-dûr or the dark tower where the eye of Sauron sits! The tall spiky appearance is really similar to the tower, and we also just had Smaugold which is another Tolkien-inspired pokemon!

The starters don't scream Greece to me the way the new gen starters scream Spain, but that aside they look cool
The Cat-Witch’s name is Blair - Hope this helps!! Also i think hatokean is a street fighter inspired pokemon with the Chun-Li vibes but also its name is a reference to a street fighter move Hadoken used by Ryu from the games!

I've been following maumesdex for over a year now and the two regions are so annoyingly good(because it's a shame they aren't official regions 😭)
Alpha Hatokean, Rouvett, Banshoot, Ufly and an ace Angerigus.
I'm not sure what my sixth would be since I need to decide between type overlap or a 'mon I like less, and also would want to know how the alpha form rules work, but the backups are Jatatang, Mismalice, regional Marowak, regional Mimikyu, and Rhinbow. I liked Mologre's pre-evo better than it too, so it would be a good candidate if it was a bulky eviolite snail 'mon.
The two variants one region thing is now more thinkable because of Paldean Tauros forms
For regimind it makes sense to me since amethyst has a myth that it can help you cure headaches if you touch it
im so happy that buizel got a regional variant AND a pre evo٫ as it is my favorite pokemon that deserves more love

Tbh, I think it could be a cool concept regardless. Seeing how a Pokemon can change in different parts of the same region.
There would be hundreds of possible legends alone, all the gods Titans giants 1 of a kind monsters like the minotaur, some of the greater hero’s like Hercules. And so much more lol
it is very interesting, and which countries would still be suitable for the creation of the region.

Ok, so i have to say this. The mons' designs where pretty good, really, but as a Greek i found some of those ideas really out of place (and personally little offending too ^^;....)... Like many pokemon had almost no connection with Greece whatsoever X'D....
Still the art was fun. My hubby really liked that muffin and bug-dog pokemons the most
