    I got 2 of them me and wife both hanging up closing glitching. We have 6 mags and 5 types of ammunition. I’m not not to happy with ruger right now. Good video you were way less frustrated than I was .

      @ Peater Johnson, I am having the same issues with mine. I realize that I am going to carry something else that is more reliable when I making a run to the store...

    polish every single moving part with 600 grit sandpaper. polish the feed ramp, polish the breach face, recoil guide rod and the channel in which the guide rod sits. if you cant push down at all with 6 rounds in the magazine, take some pliers and clip off 1 full turn off the spring.

    Mine is doing the same thing yours is at with the same failure rate yours is. I can't get through one mag without mis-feeding and eject failures.

    My LCP has the exact same failures and same rate of failure. Using 95g Brass FMJ ball there should not be this many problems. I now carry my J frame almost exclusively because I'm scared to have a jamb when my life may depend on it.

    On mine extractor was broken just the lower half so couldn't see it till I tore it apart.also polish slide ramp and block on the slide that holds bullets down while in magazine,polish guide rod and part where firing pin extends from.also I haven't done mine yet cause extra tor hasn't come in yet,but I'm gonna polish the extractor contact to slide points

    Mine and my wife's do the same thing. Can't rely on it with your life. At least the first shot always comes out for us. I will never buy a Ruger again. I was told to try WWB. Will see if that makes a difference next time we go to the range.

    So sad. I would start be polishing the barrel feed ramp and cartridge end of the barrel, replacing the entire ejector and system (springs, etc.), and trying another magazine. DO NOT CHANGE AMMO! These semi-autos should feed all ammo. It's a pisser, but don't look to the manufacturer for a solution. It is now your weapon and your problem, sad to say.

      You are so lucky. I have a Kahr p380, spent $643 to buy it, thinking the more expensive Kahr would be better. Wrong. Send it back to Kahr, still doesn't work. No replacement, no buy back. Really unhappy, and with so many Kahr fan boys, I can't even complain. Thanks for your reply, and good luck!

    If Ruger didn't have problems and you are it's gotta be the ammo. 380 acp is a weird caliber. Some guns don't function well with some brands of ammo. I suggest you try different brands of ammo or just trade the gun in for a pocket sized 9mm or 38 special handgun. The new Ruger EC9s or even a Glock 43 or S&W Shield should function with all brands of ammo.

    • @rogerwhitley6107
      @rogerwhitley6107 3 года назад

      Just replace it with a sccy; a little bigger full 9mm instead of short giving you more variety in ammo. But from what I've seen so far; for the price the sccy is a better option. Ruger definitely has let us down with the lcp series

    • @Prepare2Survive
      @Prepare2Survive 3 года назад +1

      @@rogerwhitley6107 Sorry to hear that. I owned a SCCY CPX-2 and it kept breaking every 1000 or so rounds so I sold it because I couldn't trust it. SCCY fixed it each time for free, but after the 3rd time I had enough. They are accurate, but they just aren't designed to hold up to a lot of shooting. If you are only going to shoot a couple boxes of ammo every year it will last a long time, but don't think you'll be able to shoot it a lot without something breaking. The 1st thing that broke on mine was the grip frame right behind the rear frame pin. The second thing was the extractor wore and started causing double feeds every 2 or 3 rds. The 3rd thing was the ejector broke. After selling the SCCY I bought a Sig P250 subcompact 9mm used for 300 bucks and that has been the most reliable gun I've ever owned. It's never jammed except with steel cased ammo and it doesn't jam when my girlfriend limp wrists it. I must have shot over 5000 rds through it so far. Since then I upgraded to a new Sig P365 and it's been great too. It's about the same size as the SCCY.

      @@Prepare2Survive good to know I haven't heard or seen much bad about the sccy. I questioned the whole polymer over stamped steel frame concept myself; wondering over the long term what kind of integrity andreliability they truly have

    • @rogerwhitley6107

      I have had this problem with any self defense ammo does not matter the grain or maker. If it ain't fmj constant failures to feed, constant failure to ejects. We have 2 lcp 380 and both display the same feeding issues ejection issues and magazine seating isuues. And I've polished all there is to polish on one with flitz and no difference except smoother action; when it actually goes into battery that is. Had a smith blame it on me dead wristing; he couldn't fire one round without an issue, then apologized. Had one back in 2012 or 13, had no problems; these two, scare the piss outta mewith the unreliability. Definitely not the most dependable edc

    dont move or roll your shoulder.

    • @defectedintelligence

      His limp wristing isnt responsible for the ejection malf. Ruger cant seem to solve the issue, and must shoot premium ammo for testing, or they flat out lie. Its poor engineering, the main spring, and ejector spring are underpowered, his only fix is stretching the ejector spring, and filing the ejector lip deeper. Better form would be a plus though i guess lol
