Pure pop perfection. Four transcendent albums in a row. Four milestones in music, and a fifth one is ready to drop. Thank you, Ian & Co, for sharing your genius with the world. Music changes lives, and The Go! Team has changed mine.
All the Sundays I never had Well, I'm making up for it All the chances I never grabbed Well, I'm making up for it now Ooh, is there really no way to know? Ooh, if the memory doesn't call Honey, all the hours I laid in bed Well, I'm making up for it Lock the living to you instead Well, I'm making up for it now Ooh, is it really so hard to see? Ooh, if the world is alright with me It's something forgotten There's something right Over and over, out of sight Building me, try again every day Ahh, anyway Ahh, what d'you say? Honey all the fires I never tend Well, I'm making up for it Let society off the hook Well, I'm making up for it now Ooh, is there really no way to know Ooh, if the memory doesn't call It's something forgotten There's something right Over and over, out…
I remember when this album was being trailed and the intro/outro bit was the taster. I thought it sounded fantastic but I assumed it was only going to be a bit of incidental music never to be heard again. So it was a surprise to hear it again bookending this perfect pop song. You get to a certain age and you think you're done with pop music but the Go! Team just kept raising the bar. For me - me only - this toon is BETTER than every Led Zeppelin song by a really long way. Joy unadulterated!
And The Go! Team is back! I wasn't sure if I'd like this new album without all the members in it but the back to basics music is amazing. These 4 years were worth the wait.
I really find that Angela's voice makes me feel happy. Shes got such a pleasant voice. Does anybody know her social media? Its so difficult to find her on the net :(
I think they're going for a shoegaze kind of sound. Wishy washy sounding lyrics that are kind of hard to understand but still really upbeat and playful sounding. I think they've struck a really good balance with their sound.
Hearing this one, I'm thinking of Neil Young, the Posies ("Dream All Day"), and maybe the Cranberries (lead vocals). I'm an old guy who's listened to his share of music. 😃

sirreal73x underrated band with enormous talent and influence! Completely agree with you!
Great composition, wonderful sonical excecution.
My eyes hurt but my soul is happy ~
Ian from go team is one of Britain's most unsung (forgive pun) pop geniuses imho, almost everything he's done is magnificent and this is no exception.
This is the purest music I've ever heard, this is so amazing.

What an amazing band. Audio-visual titans.
The song + video are perfection - manage to bottle nostalgia for a summer that probably never happened in the first place. Achingly beautiful !

Angela has a great voice no doubt, but this isn’t her on this track. It’s Samira Winter.
