They knew Covid aid would end. This guy doesn’t think past the start of the next school year. He doesn’t care to answer the questions posed to him so we get awesome mansplaining and gaslighting. “The real question is…”
Record corporate profits. Everything is fine. 😬🤟🏻

Corporations, which fund political parties, are behind the "teach to the test" and "no child left behind" philosophies because they dumb the populace down. An uneducated populace, that cannot use critical thinking skills, does not recognize propaganda tactics, and is willing to accept perpetual low wage jobs upon graduation, is one that is easily swayed and manipulated. By firing educators, librarians, and other essential workers in the school districts, then closing schools on the basis of test scores, when the majority of the student bodies come from underprivileged or broken homes, and are often the children of undocumented workers whose parents speak little to no English, assures a nice return for stockholders who would invest in profitable charter schools.

That 30 minute mark and mention of "cutting" and "students and also that the teacher still receives the same level of support"... ummm.... The same level of support even with all those cuts? That is a big red flag that other teachers/staff will have to shoulder more responsibilities to keep the status quo. Not a very good sign.

Superintendent Miles, walked into a difficult situation in HISD. He was not there WHEN the Covid-19 situation put the district in a money management problem. There were other Superintendents, Administrators, Principals and school administrators etc with their hands in the cookie jar. These people were able to spend that money however they chose. Some school employees got the opportunity to work overtime and extra. Pay yourselves overtime, all you can get whether you were there working or not. Stop blaming this man for the theft in HISD. He said there is no money , believe him! There's not enough money. The "State Takeover" just showed the corruption in HISD , and there was a boatload.

He brought in 6 people to the district who makes a total of 2.5 million dollars in combined salaries(this people are his principals from dallas who serve under him). He spend 500,00 in one stupid unnecessary inauguration musical in which he reenacted his early life as a poor kid. That musical was produced by his son( who you think took a cut from the 1/2 million). Every schooled classify as NES cost the distric more than a regular school because more paper and equipment is being used. 100 plus schools will be part of his NES programs next year. In HISD under miles there is 12 people making a total of 5 million dollars in convined salaries. Do you see why he is being blame for this. Not to mentioned all the unnecessary desk bought to replace perfectly working desk around some schools.

He knew that HISD was in financial trouble and he continued to spend like crazy making this situation worse. It was public that the distric was Ina financial crisis last year.

Believe me there were jo overtime for the employee's who are getting layoff. Dp a research about the Robinhood law for sheeol districts. The riches districts based on taxing the house owner supose to send all the extra money from the taxes collected to Austin and the Austin send that money to poorer rural school districts. That why HISD is always trying to pads bonds to keep up with the cost of running the district.

Could you blame them? He and his staff found money to pay their 6 figure salaries but others get their jobs cut. The times are already hard if you have a job, then imagine getting your job cut and being unemployed. Then add on all the nasty comments on social media with people saying good get rid of lazy people and the librarians, social workers, mental health professionals, custodians, maintenance workers, and teachers are some of the hardest working staff members who’ve been cut. Also he’s lying about covid funding paying salaries, some of these positions he’s cutting were around long before the pandemic. He’s a liar who is playing with peoples lives!

Teachers are violent people, so he needs to be careful. They are teaching kids to castrate themselves and abort their babies, so there is no end to their depravity.
