Perfect timing! Just started my new semester for IR and this topic's been tough to take in, but I'm glad you made this subject exceptionally easy to understand! Thanks and greetings from Malaysia!
Your videos are great! I use them not only as intro but as reference for things I need to do further research on. Thx so much! Greetings from panama 🇵🇦
The incentives may include the recognition as a sovereign state (UN), increasing security (NATO), getting economic and political benefits (EU), etc. Thanks for the video! 👏👏
Thanks for the comment! Those are definitely reasons why states are willing to give up some sovereignty to participate in these international organizations.
A lot of people think that NATO's Article V requires member states to come to the aid of any NATO country that is attacked. That is wrong, it only requires them to "take the measures they see as appropriate." A lot of people think it requires a military response, but that's wrong. Don't be that guy....
That is such a volatile situation right now! I think Putin is a pretty calculated leader and knows he doesn't have much to gain from an actual war with Ukraine. I think Russia is posturing to show strength to NATO, but I don't see it going beyond that.

Hello, what do you think about Russia-Ukraine conflict pace? Do you think it just can’t escalade because of the risk of the WWIII?
That is such a volatile situation right now! I think Putin is a pretty calculated leader and knows he doesn't have much to gain from an actual war with Ukraine. I think Russia is posturing to show strength to NATO, but I don't see it going beyond that.
You didn't include the WB and IMF, why is that?
