You cant explain the ub what it shows on tha surface with the 6 chambers is only tip of the iceberg unless you are at the top of the pyramid you wont even know what's going off there
It’s kind of hard to tell. Maybe there would’ve been more wars if the UN wasn’t around. But I guess we’ll never find out. I at least like the idea of the UN. I suppose its existence is a net positive for the world.
@Karl Quetzacoatl and what do you think would happen if the UN would just say fuck it, you can all do however you please? The world is complicated. Every nation wants puts their own needs in front of everyone elses. Imagine no one would give a fuck (just like a few hundreds years back) and all nations only look out for themselves. You would get war after war after war. The reason we have it fairly good these days is because of world trade(look at north korea - no trade, no communication to other countries = miserable country), the UN makes sure everyone has a voice and can be heard and I am quite sure that there main goal is today to keep the communicaton open between countries so trade won't get interrupted and trigger a war. Yes the system is rigged within the UN, which does suck but its the best we got at the moment(again every nation only cares about themselves). Just be grateful be alive now and not a a few hundreds years back. You know how the mongols dealt with countries/cities which didn't do as they pleased? The murdered half of the population. Every soldier had to kill a certain amount of people at random. After that you can imagine that no one raised their voice anymore against the mongols and just did exactly what they were told.
The one instance where the UN nearly failed it's goal of preserving peace was the Korean War fought in the early 1950s with the US forming an entire coalition in cooperation against communist forces invading the area nearly starting a global confrontation between the superpowers until a agreement was reached in 1953 to end the violence.
Yeah Russia lost almost 15 million soldiers wounded and dead during 1941-1945, that doesn't matter......lets forget that history, this video is already bunk at 2:30. OP Mr. Beat needs to read a book. I won't waste my time clicking when I see this guy as the creator. stay away!
Mr. Beat's Social Studies Channel maybe the "weed for Jesus" t shirt school trip case. I don't remember all the details. It's been a while since I took a constitutional law class in undergrad. But honestly, there can't be enough Supreme Court videos. Happy to see you tackling it
The UN doesn´t sound very democratic. And I would like to know more about what the critics have to say about it. Other than that, informative on a general level.
The UN isn't supposed to be a world government. In theory, it's supposed to help nations open dialogue and coordinate policy like international law. The UN has basically no authority other than what its member states give it, mainly the United States.
The UN is what I would call a proto-proto-state, it is a loose organization with little power, but COULD be reformed into a powerful body. It isn't democratic because it has no citizens, it isn't an International government, it is a meting place for nations to discus each issue that concerns them; trying to claim the UN is bad because of its failures, is really just blaming the International community for being incompetent, which has some truth to it.
Have you seen any country try to invade the territory of another to make it part of their own like countries did in ww2 (Which the League of Nations failed to prevent)? I sure haven't, but please correct me if I'm wrong about anything.
It was mostly China's fault for failure to cooperate, but the WHO does have a corruption problem, although overall the WHO has prevented many pandemics from becoming global, but this time failed because of China.
Hey Mr. Beat I really enjoyed your video would you be able to post references as to where you got your info from, it would be great and i would love to incorporate some of it into my work thanks !!
The acceleration of science and knowledge since 1945 was related to world peace and humanity efforts being focused on positive fields like health and education

Thank God, the united nations is still existing in my country Kenya am still waiting to see your army in my country during this time of tribal election and war mongers in my country.
If i was ever in charge of my nation we would leave the UN and abandon all those useless treaties cause i am honestly annoyed by the rules for some doctrine of one key member aka the US and its allies
Hey Mr Beat, it feels good the rhythm but I am after the main conceptual context, that all the organs in the United Nations existed to transact either with esteem or against negatives. What is bad and what is good morally speaking, since this governs good citizens lives?
1) If the UN goes away, another organization just like it will eventually take its place. 2) Stop doing the trolley problem and just do the right thing.
Why did Russia take the Soviet Union spot, out of all the countries that formed when the Soviet Union stopped existing? By that logic if the USA were to break up, Alaska would take our place.

I don’t know why people think that the UN can just solve all the problems of the world like that, it’s meant to keep dialogue open
Yet it doesn't even do that. It's creation was to prevent wars and yet has stopped none. It has done ZERO good for the world.
It’s kind of hard to tell. Maybe there would’ve been more wars if the UN wasn’t around. But I guess we’ll never find out. I at least like the idea of the UN. I suppose its existence is a net positive for the world.

Space Racer26 , the Red Kross and afilates did that before the U.N.
2:20 the way you said "Newfoundland" made it sound like "New Finland"
Oh, That's now what he said.?
That's actually how it's pronounced, according to a Newfoundland RUclipsr I watched (MattShea).
Google agrees.
The League of Nations! Sounds so much cooler than the United Nations. It’s like the Justice League. League of Nations, unite!
it’s so awesome. it just sounds like some 20s radio guy would say it, ya know?

How was that a failure of the UN? The United Nations fought for South Korea's freedom too
Great video! Answered pretty much all of the questions I had about the UN
"Two of the allies, the United States and the United Kingdom, lead the way."
Russia would like to have a word with you, sir.
He means they led the way with the Atlantic Chater and laying the foundation for the UN structure and ideals.

Yeah about that....
Good job Mr. Beat!! Love how you explain everything ;)
Would the UN please publish a Gazette of the Organizaton 's accomplishments on an annual basis for citizens of member countries .
Excited for the new series, dude! I've been deprived since the Presidential elections haitus.
Do you have any particular court cases you'd like me to cover first?
Mr. Beat's Social Studies Channel maybe the "weed for Jesus" t shirt school trip case.

I thought the Korean War was a UN mission. The US provided most, but not all of the troops. As I recall, other countries contributed forces as well.
It was, but Americans are too stupid to comprehend it
Pretty much the only useful thing the United Nations ever did
The UN doesn´t sound very democratic. And I would like to know more about what the critics have to say about it. Other than that, informative on a general level.
Same with the USA senate. The majority leader has veto power before bill even gets looked at. It's terrible and not very democratic at all.
The UN is filled of unelected bureaucrats.
Then again, many of the UN member states are autocracies themselves.
The UN isn't supposed to be a world government. In theory, it's supposed to help nations open dialogue and coordinate policy like international law. The UN has basically no authority other than what its member states give it, mainly the United States.

nah, it was made due to tensions between the USSR and USA
Useless Nations make much sense
The American Emperor , James Norton, wanted a league of nations btw.
Whatever it may have once been, now the UN basically exists as apologetics for American imperialism
