This was very informative and helpful as I am currently going through it with my hair. I’m on day 4 of detangling my hair and I’ve been using combs and never thought to use the finger method until I came across your channel❤ my mom tried to help me comb some out but my scalp hurt so bad its tinder and I have about 4-5months of tangled hair I’m ashamed but I let it get this bad but I’m trying hard to fix it. Hi Cocaknotz. Long-time sub of yours here as I have always enjoyed your content. It's like watching ASMR but also *learning* things in the process! I have a question which the answer may vary depending on your State of residence. Does one need a cosmetology license in order to solely specialize in hair detangling? I have seen people travel to a client's State, stay in a hotel, and even do the process right there in the client's hotel room! BUT--the hair detangler's, IF they have a license, are licensed in a different State. Anything you may know and share about this would be greatly appreciated. TIA! 🥰
@@VampliFyer hey babe , yes most cosmetologists have enough credit hours to service clients in all states , well my school sure did , or many people who do braids or services like this operate under a “shampoo certification braid thingy-“ it’s a very simple course like a day or so which allows you to shampoo hair and braid anything but use chemicals and extreme cutting styles , well some states honor that but to be honest most clients don’t care about licensed stylists servicing them until something goes wrong . I don’t know how this will be classified for a course, maybe you or I should just create one 👍

That's a brilliant idea to create an accredited course just for the aspects that relate to detangling and basic protective styles ,etc. My detangle and braid game are both strong but all I'll do is an after-detangle trim--IOW, no complex styles with scissors or straighteners/relaxers. I'm in California and mainly want to detangle and teach clients tips for caring for their hair type. Hey girl--you should definitely go for the new course bc it's needed, and you could put it on your site for people to order in digital format! 👍🏼💯 So many people own a ton of product but it's a waste if they don't know how to use them properly, or even what their hair actually needs!
