He was told that they were devils. But after he attacked the walls and caused so much death and despair for the Islanders, he realized that he himself was the devil from their point of view. Which is why he wants to die but sadly he can't because of his insane plot armour.

He basically said those people are just like us; some are kind, some are stupid, some are selfish, but none of them are devils. In the manga, Reiner's face was much more heartbroken when thinking about them. He really did consider them friends.
The motivation they gave her wasn't in place, they were supposed to offer her a pound of potatoes for every titan killed, she would have surpassed Levi by then.

I started watching AoT a week ago i'm already on season 3 this show is great how did i miss it and Sasha is my favourite, her personality is just the best, i can't wait and hope for more funny moments like this from her.
Honestly, the author planned to have her killed earlier in the series in a gruesome way, probably ripped apart and eaten by a titan. Bad enough that one of his editors cried in the bathroom after hearing it and convinced the author to change his mind. She was meant to die so in a way I'm glad it was from a bullet rather than killed by a titan. RIP.

I started watching AoT a week ago i'm already on season 3 this show is great how did i miss it and Sasha is my favourite, her personality is just the best, i can't wait and hope for more funny moments like this from her.

Honestly, the author planned to have her killed earlier in the series in a gruesome way, probably ripped apart and eaten by a titan. Bad enough that one of his editors cried in the bathroom after hearing it and convinced the author to change his mind. She was meant to die so in a way I'm glad it was from a bullet rather than killed by a titan. RIP.
Yeah honestly I was sad but it was a far more dignified death for her character.
she should rather have died while fighting and killing as many titans as she could have
@@shashankgupta7460 Maybe, but still. Getting shot and dying surrounded by your friends is a hell of a lot better than being alone getting eaten and ripped apart by titans. I don't think any characters in the series have even come close to affording that kind of luxury.
