For those who say that Romania isn't Balkan.. The term Balkan used here and used in ''Balkan'' countries refers to a much deeper sense than geographical, something you foreigners can't know. ''Balkan'' is a cultural identity shared by all countries from Slovenia to Moldova and down to Greece. I'm talking about, music, dance, folk costumes, food, heavy language borrowings from to another, similar history and the mixing of populations through the centuries.
This is the best performance from the whole Eurovision. The music is good, and the performance is just excellent. The deserved to win. Pity enough that it didn't happend
Well I see everyone telling that romanians aren't on Blakan yeah but they act like ones and their culture is just like ours from music to food we are so similar. Personally I think they are bigger balkanians than greeks. :D

Nu sunt ofensat că alții își dau cu părerea, atât timp cât o fac pertinent și în limita bunului simț. Observ că doar copiii de 16-17 ani au mai nou părere ”avizate”, capabil să târască prin noroi un artist! Lovely - strange thing though is that Romania is in very tiny part on the Balkan although it is sometimes included within the Balkan states, or south-eastern Europe. The Balkan is what is right of the Danube - so part of my Ukraine and Moldova are Balkan.
Romanian culture and even grammar is 100% from Balkan. I am from Serbia, from Novi Sad and it is not in Balkan, but if you consider geography only and not culture, you will not see that it is BALKAN :)

Europa si mai ales nordica nu apreciaza muzica cu influente balcanice,orientale,din pacate.Ca sa castigi ESC-ul ai nevoie de o melodie "strong" si cat de cat necomerciala.
Dacă tot ești curios ,eu am 10 pe linie la școală și eu nu te-am jignit cu absolut nimic nici pe tine și nici n-am criticat-o pe Elena. Si eu sunt un fan al elenei ca și tine , însă dacă eu preferam o alta melodie și am zis asta, nu cred ca era nevoie sa sari tu și sa critici trupa ,, Blaxy girls '' și cred nu era nevoie sa îmi critici vârsta și generația, pentru ca eu ți-am vorbit cu respect. First of all this artist is Aromanian ethnic, a.k.a. Vlach or in Romania they are often called Machedons (has nothing to do with the country Macedonia). Some said that they steal style from other balkan country , thats is very wrong those rithms are traditionaly used by them, also they are brothers with our ancestors (Aromanian language a different dialect than romanian). They are very comon to the Balkans so they have every right to sing about the balkan girls. Also they do a wonderful job great song and beautiful dance, like in a dream ;). In our country its said they bring luck and where they walk the grass grows, thats our heritage about our brother aromanians aka machedons here. p.s. Mostly Romania is considered to be in the Balkan Peninsula, the area betwen the Adriatic Sea and the Black Sea, more than half of Romania (south) is in this area, so mostly its considered a Balkan country, its true however some sources only consider less countries as Balkanic but this isnt the general view. Also Romania historically was absent at some balkanic conflicts or wars so it wasnt realy mentioned that much as balkan country.
