I beat this game (and many other games) with the unbeatable highest score around the neighborhood many times in 1990-1992 when I was only 10-12 years old. I know I would never ever be able to defeat Takeshi's Castle though. I was blessed with a good brain/IQ but paired with shameful physique. Takeshi's was waaaay harder IMO... 😅😅😅

this video took me to a very special day. I was in 6th grade when we friends had a full day Adventure Island marathon, we had a 17" B&W tv in our store room for gaming, to not to disturb cable tv. We played, paused the game for several times when we got tired, we ate, slept, played cricket in the meanwhile. and that is how we spent 8+ hours of that special day during that summer vacation and we couldnt defeat that final boss bcz we couldnt save our player with lvl-2 bullets (rockbreaker) for the final stage.
I will never forget this game because even after a bug that allowed me atleast 200-300 lives I still couldn't complete this game. This still haunts me lol ...miss the times

I have been in a hell lot of stressful situations in my life and never been anxious but everytime this guy stopped at the edge and ran way too fast, my anxiety went off the roof.
First time to see the ending, had difficulty, didn't have a memory card during my time, always had to go back from the start, i noticed that the guy who played this game is very good, he didn't make a single mistake, and when i thought he did make a mistake 49:40, when he hit the rock, i realized that he did that on purpose to get the pot, is this guy really human? Mario and islander both were my favourite childhood games that i would play via cassete video game connected to a tv. Though I cleared Mario end no. Of times and succeeded in making him meet his princess but couldn't do so with islander. Islander game is too lengthy, difficult and doesn't allow stage selection as opposed to Mario.This game can't be completed in a single sitting. However I equally enjoyed playing both these games. Missing those days!!! Nostalgic!

HOLY FRICK 4K HD! I remember finding that secret sky level in the first level. I was shoting and saw that somethings wrong. I couldn't shoot past that snake so I just stood there shooting and I went up. That felt like a life's achievement! I'm crying and shaking right now! Also I thought that this was the last level 6:00

Lo que pasa es que en aquellos años se necesitaba una fuente de poder para convertir el voltaje a 15 voltios, o 9 voltios creo.
Y esos transformadores funcionaban con 110 v máximo. En muchos países se usa 220 voltios, y por eso se quemaban.
