I loved this podcast. Megan telling the story of produce to consumers is wonderful. People do not know, or they don’t think about or appreciate what it takes to get produce into the store. My 9-year-old granddaughter is not a fan of vegetables unless they are in a dish with other stuff she likes. The rare exception is a Roma tomato. She will take one off the counter and eat it whole and raw. The reason is that she and her grandmother were in the garden one summer and she noticed the Roma tomato plant and asked what it was. My wife told her and picked one off the bush and told her to try it. I guess because he was curious, she bit into it, liked it, and ate the whole thing. She knew what it was, where it came from, and had confidence in how it was provided to her.
Shay your videos are telling a great story. I’m very interested in Megan’s website as the way she describes telling the story of produce is the focus on the people who bring it to market. We have had in our area a program where kids are bussed to a working farm, and they spend time learning about the farm and the crops they grow. A few of them might even get their hands dirty with some soil. Something that is usually discouraged at home.
    Anyway, another neat video.

    Howdy Shay...
    Good to see you casting...
    Little mistake...
You called this episode 11 and the written title calls it episode 10...
I'd love to see you interview some small organic farmers for perspective.
Their journey must be most difficult...
I have the utmost respect for those who Farm organically and manage to survive and in some cases... even thrive..
