Dear sir, it's really inspiring, I have aquired 300 hectares of farm land in Ethiopia, It's located on the omo Valley regione i am planning to try bulb onion and maize , the weather is warm mostly over 30°c it has an altitude over 930mts and sandy soil please 1.do you think it gives a good result? 2. What seed variety are you using and what yield does it give in a hectare please? Thank you so much sir, I am a beginner in farming and if you could give me any advice you think is important. Thank you!
@biniyamtibebu4004 hello friend. 300 hectares is good. But my advise since I have never worked with soil from your region. It's best you look for an agronomist or a local agricultural expert to advise on the crop to do. Also do a soil test it always gives you a guide. Finally, bulb onions normally work well in hot areas. So chances are they will work well. Maize as well will work as it works in most places. All the best in your venture. Remember farming you need patience and understanding of what your doing for best results
@kizurifarm thank you so much sir, I will follow your advice and thank you again for your kindness!, if you happen to visit Ethiopia I will happily assist. Have a great success
Great job man. I have a seedling of Russet F1 for 8 Acres. Under good agricultural practice and furrow irrigation system, how much yield should I expect. could you give me an approximate guess from your experience.
Thanks.. from my experience I use drip irrigation. But most people claim to harvest 15 to 20 tonnes an acre. But one should not that things like drip lines used on a bed matters. For my case I used only 3 lines per bed while other people used up to 5 lines. I learnt this when I had already set up my drip system. But I intend to add more drip lines in the new area I'm going to do. On furrow I have never used so I'll be lying 🤥🤥
Hello guys ask anything I'll be happy to help. Take care ❤

How much do you as a farmer sell the onions for
@@YatzarEL-17 hey depends on your country. My country if you sell at farm gate it's 35 ksh per kg. Bug if you delivery to customer it's 50 ksh per kg
