My rue just went to seed. It bloomed this year and like an idiot, I was like, well I’ll just let these seeds fall down in here because I’m not gonna use them instead of planting them and ensuring that they grow😂. I also found two female black swallowtails today. Actually one found me, and after my dad is done mowing I’ll go show them to you on IG. My Virginia creeper is doing GREAT. Next growing season I’ll have plenty of it for sphinx moths to eat and I could not be more pleased. Some of my way over 4 or 5 monarch chrysalis have started to darken and I suspect we will have butterflies soon! Have a good day and thanks for another great video!

My EBS have been pupating on the huge fennel plant I have as host plant (it overwintered and grew back even more huge)......I have never seen them pupate on a host plant.......they are nuts this year, lol. I'm trying to NOT have my fennel go to seed because last year they blew all over my garden and I had about 500 babies come up this past Spring. Oh, your rue looks great. Mine is FINALLY starting to grow (about the 5th plant I've tried to get growing), fingers crossed.

Ooooh, I hope my fennel plants grow back huge too!!!!! I kind of might love having 500 baby fennel seedlings. 😂😂😂😂

Hey Susan, curious to see if you can guess one of my vistors. I have a very bright yellow butterfly that zips by without ever stopping to get nectar. It's fast and never seems to land anywhere. It's a pretty good size too, around the size of gulf frit. Do you think it's one of the sulfers? I thought those were smaller.

That sounds exactly like a sulphur. Either a Cloudless Sulphur or an Orange Barred Sulphur. Do you have a Privet or Bahama senna? Those are some of their host plants.

@@ButterflyGardeningwithSusan No I don't have either of those host plants but maybe one of my neighbors does. I just want them to hang out for a bit, lol. Always in a rush.
