The cardinal flower is gorgeous 😍😍😍 I went to MG plant ale today in hopes of finding one but no luck. Worry not I didn’t leave empty handed 😂 Got more asters for late blooms 🎉 Georgia asters are setting buds and I’m excited for their blooms. Interesting observation about the little cats disappearing out in the world if you put some of the big ones back outside keep us apprised.

Be careful with the Cardinal Climber ( also known as Cypress Vine )
They're a part of the Morning Glory family and grow fast and make seeds very quickly and easily.
If you dont want it dropping seed and popping up all over the place, deadhead them at the end of the day when they start to shrivel up and are getting ready to fall off the plant
Just pinch off the entire bud with your fingernail 👌🌹🌹🦋
I dont know if they're native to the Florida region and seeing as you want to incorporate more native species in your garden, just thought that info would help you stay conscious of the plant and in control of how it spreads through your garden. 🦋

I went to The Nectary today, and got to see one of the little red gummy bear Atalas. My evil heart wanted to steal it sooo bad, but I didn’t

Put that orange zest near where you like to sit at night and it will fill the night air once it flowers. The cardinal climber should just go in full sun where it can climb up a tree or fence or mailbox etc and you can watch the sulphurs and hummers.

I have never raised them. I have only raised a few moths. One of my viewers knows more about moths though, hopefully he will see this and can share some advice.

Hi, I’m the viewer in question. Depending on where you live they’ll eclose or overwinter after they pupate. But as far as the caterpillars go, it’s similar to raising butterfly caterpillars. They like to feed off Sweetgum, birch, persimmon, hickory, walnuts, and sumacs, among others. So they’re not picky. They’ll do fine in an enclosure as long as they’re not overcrowded. If they’re overcrowded they could contract diseases and spread them to one another. If you have any specific questions let me know!
