I remember seeing this in theatres back in 2017 and I was at loss for words. The Wolverine stand-alone trilogy was great and Hugh Jackman’s been the best Wolverine, and no one could ever replace him.
The wolverine: “All I can see is one part of a person’s life, their death. And I saw yours. I see you on your back, there’s blood everywhere. You’re holding your own heart in your hand. It’s not beating.” In Logan he dies on his back, covered in blood holding his daughter’s hand (a daughter could be called your heart metaphorically).
If you didn't catch this detail it explains why Logan is aging and why he doesn't heal as well. The doctor at the end says that they been putting a mutant gene suppressant into basically all food. This means that brew mutants don't manifest abilities and that existing mutants powered are dampened. Normally Logan would still heal at a rate that would keep him young. The problem is that having your bones grafted with metal causes contestant damage that the body has to heal. It's unclear if adamantium is toxic but the added weight causes damage and the coating on his bones causes normally fatal complications.
It's a trade off, without the adamantium he is immortal but can be crushed but with the adamantium he's indestructible but can't heal as fast even though it still seems instant
Laura (X-23) was one of the first X-Men Characters that didn't originate in the Comic books but was supposed to be a 'one off' character in an X-Men Cartoon series and the Fans of the comics and show loved the character so much She became 'Canon' in the Comic Books....
Was the first movie ive had to show my ID for my daughter to watch as its rated R. Its a serious masterpiece of a film and a hidden lesson to "the next generation".
The part of the movie that hits me that hardest is when the farmer tries to shoot Logan. You can just see how much Logan hates himself and wishes the farmer had killed him. Well, that and when Logan tells Lara "Don't be what they made you." Waterworks: on.
The only time I remember being as excited as you are about this movie was when I was 10 and came home to tell my parents about a matinee showing of John Wayne's then latest production THE ALAMO. Treasure that feeling!
Charles accidentally killed 7 of the X-Men in Westchester. They say it on the radio after the incident at the casino. Basically, Charles had a seizure which led to the X-Men all dying. Also, this movie doesn't exactly follow the timeline of the other movies. Even still, the timeline in the other movies make no sense at all anyways, LOL! The guy who made the movie wanted it to be based on the original X-Men trilogy timeline, but make it so that you wouldn't have to even see those movies to understand this one. This is one of my favorite movies of all-time. It's an emotional rollercoaster. One minute I'm hyped as hell with the amazing action scenes and the next I'm crying LOL!
Hugh Jackman is soo good, this and Prestige are some of my fav films of his but this movie was everything! Wolverine is one of my fav X-Men & Logan has always aged slowly like he was in both world wars
I saw this in the theater and it was everything I wanted and more. It was a great send off for Hugh Jackman as Logan, he gave one of the greatest performances of his career. A lot of scenes hit me hard, my favorite action sequence is the final fight where we get to see what Logan's Claws were made for which slicing fools to ribbons, when I heard that howl I knew that Wolverine was back.
If you remember the movie The wolverine and I believe it was the woman said to find Logan in the woods when she told him how she saw him die he was holding his heart in his hand remember that line from the movie that's exactly what happened in Logan at the end of the movie he was holding his daughter's hand so that prophecy came to pass. Remember when he was on the plane that we entered Japan he's like do I down his plane and she looked at him he said no you don't die on this plane
In the comics, Donald Pierce and the Reavers were transhumanists, considering technological integration as the next step in human evolution, which is why they all have bionics. In the comics, one guy was a tank from the waist down. :P
In the movie, the Westchester incident was Charles accidentally killing the xmen and civilians by his dementia. In the comics, Mysterio tricks Logan into believing that the xmen are villains who have invaded the mansion, and Logan killed them all.
Watched 'Logan' as a stand alone movie , not much into the Marvel comic movies , watched a few old Wolverine movies and found them boring . But with 'Logan' one can catch up quick , with 'essentially' all you need to know . Thus , Logan was quite a moving movie in itself , one of the best movies I have seen in quite awhile . And yes - I cry at several points , especially the speech by Laura , from the movie 'Shane' over Logan's grave . ----- I should say I do like a few 'comic book' movies like 'Guardians Of The Galaxy '. The main thing I don't like about modern movies is that it has to be action , action , action right from the start, lest you might lose someone's attention . So much so , that when younger people watch older movies they wonder why everything moves SO slow . Will the pace of movies , just like life today, --- just keep moving faster and faster ? Where we are headed ? -- Mankind has not developed 'evolutionary' wise to cope with technology that is like a horse that has escaped the barn and keeps moving faster and faster -- not necessarily towards anything good - it's long been out of control . Having said that , you are obviously quite intelligent , so I will subscribe and listen to a few more reactions . Sorry to cram all this in a paragraph ! -- cheers .
I mean what can I say about Logan other than outstanding. It's not a film I can go back and rewatch easily but on the occasion I want to watch Logan its an experience. What a way to say goodbye to two of the most beloved characters. I guess like you mentioned more info would have been nice but with the state of the X-Men universe that isn't realy possible. They messed with the universe so much they, well made a mess of it and things didn't add up. They tried to undo things but it's still a mess. Logan did really well to give us just enough without making things complicated. Like on the news report saying about the incident that lead to the mutants deaths it cuts off just before the end. Even so we guess and its confirmed in the subtitles that Charles was the cause of the mutants extinction. You can see how much that has impacted him and Logan throughout the film. There is way more to this film and I would suggest watching CinemaWins video on Logan its well worth checking out. Shame Hollywood don't make great films anymore.

Logan's aging is because his healing factor can't keep up with the cumulative heavy metal poisoning from the Adamantium and radiation poisoning from being in Hiroshima.
Yeah, the X-Men cinematic continuity is FUBAR. I feel like they wanted to be the MCU and have a connected universe, but half-assed it. They should've either gone all-in, or just made clear the different movies were all in different timelines. Also, I've been burned SO MANY TIMES by looking up actors on IMDB or Wikipedia and getting spoiled. I now force myself to wait out the movie. But you do you! >.

No onnnnnneee
Agreed..... but I'll go one further..... this was the best x man movie ever scene(yeah I said it ever seen....it freaking was)🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
i regret not seeing it in movie.
Hes literally getting replaced in Deadpool vs wolverine. He's only an actor. It's not that deep.
This movie is so emotionally brutal. I grew up with x-men. So it's so heart wrenching to see Charles that way.
I know 😢 Though it’s worse both he and Logan are killed as another one who literally grew up with Patrick’s Charles and Hugh as Logan 🥺😭

This is based on the graphic novel “Old Man Logan” where Lara is Native American with a mohawk & her bones, not blades, came out of her forearms.
The 3 main leads are fantastic performances and you'll need those tissues believe me.
Hugh Jackman is soo good, this and Prestige are some of my fav films of his but this movie was everything! Wolverine is one of my fav X-Men & Logan has always aged slowly like he was in both world wars
In all the stories wolverines born at the start of the 1800's
Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart both deserved nominations IMO. This is the one comic book movie for acting awards
I absolutely love this film. It is not just my favorite Marvel movie. It is my favorite movie period.

i watched a logan reaction vid a couple days ago and saw someone comment this, i didn't remember it at the time but now i do!
I think Hugh Jackman actually holds the record for playing the most superhero roles with wolverine character

The ending made me cry
Just to not get confused with continuity issues, Logan takes place in a separate timeline from the Fox movies.
I am honestly surprised that hugh jackman didn't get an oscar for this. Screw the academy awards.
Should have slapped someone
RIP Logan
Great commentary!
lovely
Laura Kinney: X-23.
Excellent reaction and commentary!
"alright, I'm gonna stop eating" - said me never.
SALUDÓ DESDE LA REPÚBLICA DOMINICANA EXCELENTE VÍDEO 🇩🇴👍🏿👏🏿👸🎖🏆
gotta love this movie, so epic!
I love this film and do not love the other x-men films. Thanks for the video. Was already subbed.
10:27 Gurl you gotta teach me how to do that 😁🔪🩸

Amazing movie. Ending hit me hard
i liked this so you come here again.
Regarding the timeline, I thought it still followed the same timeline of Days of Future Past, but something went wrong.
This movie wouldn’t be as impactful if it wasn’t for all the prior X-Men movies

It's a 5!
best xmen movie of all time, debate a wall. I'd take this over a lot of MCU films

Cada día más bella, Yasmina-swan~.💘
Don’t try to make sense of continuity. Essentially this is decades after every other movie, and stands well on its own. There are a few Easter eggs.
Please react on some Indian movies like 3 idiots , PK , Dangal , kumbalangi nights , Bangalore days , Andhadhun , Mathu vadalara , Kaithi , Agent sai srinivasa athreya , Queen, Barfi , Asuran , Visaranai ,Drishyam. Please react on at least one of them . You will love them .

10:27 oh my god i was just going to say how cute you are. You are my sister from now on. 🤯😅😂
The best of the MCU movies. I love it.
Like both Deadpools and the other X-Men movies this isn’t a MCU film yet. Since it’s set in a dystopian future of both series
You are gonna need the tissues
Now that Disney is changing the name to The Mutants, its official. X-Men Days of Future Past is the best X-Men movie we will ever see and Logan is the best movie about Wolverine we will ever see
In the beginning of the movie, he was in a cemetary. I believe mutants including Jean Grey were buried there. Why else would he go to a cemetary?
i'm pretty sure he was a chauffeur for someone there
This, and, the Deadpool movies are the ONLY X-Men films that were any good. The rest are trash.
And better film's than any mcu film
What about The Wolverine and X-Men 1 and 2? 🤔
@@oxfanblink4115 they have very questionable acting and sfx to be considered good imo
