Feel free to suggest any other shows or movies you think I should watch! I have watched a lot though, so if I don't end up watching what is suggested then it's most likely because I've seen it already. Also, I know my intros and outros aren't too good, I'm still getting used to recording haha.

I don't know anyone who wasn't devastated by the end of this movie... and yet I keep coming back to watch it again and again. Fantastic performances from both Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart, but the high point for me is Dafne Keen's portrayal of Laura. I don't think I've ever seen a more compelling (and possibly terrifying) child actor.

Logan goes down as one of the most heartbreaking films of all time. It still breaks me, and to you as a person who hasn't seen all of the X-Men films, it still broke you... and that really does say something. An absolute masterpiece, and a tremendous reaction ❤️
You're not really wrong about not thinking his name was Logan. It was a name he took on after losing his memory (long story). His birth name was James Howlett.
The daddy line gets everybody. This is one of my all-time favorite movies. It is as depressing as it is beautiful. Logan has been through hell and back. He's standoffish from people because everybody he loves dies, usually in horrible ways and he's somehow at fault. So, he doesn't want to get close. At the end when he says, "so, this is what it feels like", he finally opened his heart to his daughter, the only family he has. He finally got to feel something good before he died. This was Hugh Jackman's farewell to playing the character. That is, until Ryan Reynolds convinced him to do it one more time for the upcoming Deadpool 3.
Logan pays homage to a lot of old classic westerns with some of the plot like The Cowboys and Shane (the movie they were watching in the hotel). Growing up on the X-Men movies I found Logan to be my favorite. Lots of grown men were crying in the theater, including me.
He was born James Howlett jr. in1845
After a couple of decades of war he came to appreciate the animal that he really was and adopted the family name of his biological father Logan. (there's a good deal of self-loathing going on)
In the early sixties Kayla Silverfox gave him his spirit animal The Wolverine.
In the sixties Colneal Stryker Adamantianized him and called him Weapon X
After he lost his memory he found the names Logan and Wolverine on his dog tags.
Sabertooth has always called him Jimmy.
The reason Logan dies is because this was suppose to be the last time we see this version of Logan. Even though he'll be back for Deadpool too even though it is before 2029.
Rest in peace Logan. There are no more guns in the valley.

This is based on the graphic novel, Old Man Logan. It is an alternate future universe. He’s like 200 yrs. old & I think dying also from adamantium, his metal endoskeleton.

He was sick because his powers are suppressed because of what humans did to corn (they mention it here and there) and since his bones are covered in metal (a foreign object) it is causing him major health problems his abilities still heal to an extent but it isn’t making him immune to sickness or severe injuries like he used to be
This is the real Wolverine movie every comic fan wanted. His death handed the baton to his daughter. Great reaction.
Logan is 197 years old in this one that takes place in 2029. Slight details come later. In " X-men, Origins Wolverine ", you find out how he got/changed his name.

On your Multiverse of Madness Charles point it's been confirmed that the Charles we saw in MOM was a new variant inspired visually by The X-Men Animated Series from the Yellow Hoverchair, to the Green suit with blue tie and of course the X-Men 97 theme playing when he was revealed. They also drew from the Fox X-Men movies such as Sir Patrick Stewart playing the role and quoting a line from Days of Futures Past. Pretty much everything we saw on Earth-838 was new with Earth-838 being created solely for Multiverse of Madness.
There's been some argument about Logan as well in relation to the X-Men movies. Many believe Logan to be set in an alternate timeline similar to that of the Old Man Logan story. In this comic the X Mansion comes under attack by all the Marvel villains who seemed to john forces leading to Wolverine taking them out one by one defending the School from the attackers. But it's then revealed that Logan was tricked into killing the X-Men by Mysterio casting an illusion on all the X-Men making them appear as iconic Marvel villains making Logan the one who killed all the X-Men. This all took place before Old Man Logan a few decades in modern times. But in this movie it's revealed that Professor X was the cause of an events called The Westchester Incident an event that occurred in 2028 where 600 people were injured while 7 mutants were confirmed dead, including several of the X-Men.
Some people have theorised that Logan takes place in the origin X-Men timeline so X-Men, X2, The Last Stand, The Wolverine and then Logan. Other's have theorised that Logan is set a few years after Days of Future Past within the new timeline created at the end of that film so X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Apocalypse, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, Deadpool, Deadpool 2, and X-Men: Days of Future Past (New Future) followed by Logan. I personality believe Logan to be a stand alone set in a timeline we haven't seen with events maybe similar to the movies but with there own differences.

You defiantly should’ve watched the other Wolverine movies first but this is a great one and probably alright cause it can stand alone

This was the only X-men movie I thought was worth buying/keeping. Marvel finally stepped out of their woke progressive pansy-assed movie making and allowed someone to make a decent movie. Hugh Jackman was getting older anyway and they had to put a final end to his story and this was how they did it. And they did it with style and honest heart wrenching emotions. You reacted properly Tay, realizing Wolverine was learning how to be a father for the first time in his life, at the very end of his life. As for other movie suggestions I'd like to add some that I think you'll enjoy just as much. "V for Vendetta, "Watchmen", "Apocalypse Now", "Blade Runner" 1982, "They Live", "District 9", "Children of Men", "The Thing" 1982.

James is his birth name. He took up the name Logan named after the groundskeeper Thomas Logan (Biological Father) back when he was a kid when his power first started manifesting

I'm enjoying your reactions and know that you will do better and better over time but please stop looking at the camera during action scenes. It drives me nuts when I'm waiting for a reaction to a particular part of the action and the reactor is looking at the camera to make a comment and misses it. I've never ever thought, "I wish the person watching would look at me more so I can feel like they are talking to me." I still enjoy your reactions and will keep watching but I hope you will consider it a constructive comment and keep it in mind and not think it is just a criticism..
U should go back and watch all the x-men's movies.....

Great reaction 👍 you should watch The Wolverine (2013) movie it explains why Logan is sick now.
If you want to see another good movie like Logan that has a rough ending, watch Frank Darabont's take on the Stephen King Novella The Mist. Excellent movie with spectacular special effects, but keep some tissues close by for the ending.
6:50 Just some context: his real name is James Howlett, but he had amnesia for a couple of decades (most of the time he spent with the X-men). During this time he went by the name Logan, who was actually the groundskeeper of his family's estate when he was younger. He remembers that name because the original Logan killed his family, after which his powers manifested and James killed him. He's kept the name ever since.
23:10 I dont think it's mentioned in the movie, but the metal they put on Logan and Laura's bones (adamantium) is toxic. Over 200 years or so, it built up in Logan's system, slowly overwhelming his mutant healing abilities. It's slowly killing him and hindering his powers.
