    This pipe vice went from (probably) functional to a work of art and a thing of beauty. I enjoyed the restoration.

    Had exactly the same pipe vice in my old workshop, although I preferred to use the chain vice as it gripped better without burring the pipe too much. Fantastic restoration, I'm sure they didn't leave the factory with such quality finishing!

      He is not "restoring" anything here. He is repairing. It is misleading. Think about it. I am not at all saying that his "repairs" are bad; not in the slightest. All I am saying is that he thinks he's restoring when, in fact, that is not the case. Anytime you have or want to make a new part you lose the moniker of restoration. It is no longer original.

    • @pofrof4910
      @pofrof4910 9 месяцев назад +2

      One thing I believe, some pieces were made.
      The rest is all doubts.
      The author made the piece rustier (easy for these guys make it).
      Did he bend some surfaces? Hammered it or applied heat to bend it easier?
      I don't know if he is the person doing the new pieces, he never shows his face.
      With so many scam videos, each day is harder to believe in really and true restorations, thanks to the scammers.

    I know some people complain at times that your work doesn't always match everyone's concept of a "restoration," but I think it is something just as important -- perhaps what could be called a "masterwork transformation," an attempt to reach the ideal that was only approached by the original object or machine. Magnificent work.

    So, One thing I really like about your channel is that it's genuine... I see a lot of restoration videos where the person clearly made the piece they are restoring way worse just to make a video. It's very cheesy to me. Please don't ever do that! I'd rather not see a video and wait a while than see a bunch of videos that were clearly staged just to make a video. Don't ever change!!! Love your channel.... My interest is woodworking videos but your channel is really wonderful to watch!

    Nice finish, but why did you pop a bolt into the hook side of the pipe vice? When I was an apprentice electrician we used to cut threads onto steel conduit and screw it together (I hear the young ones gasping, oh no hard work!!) and that hook end was always free to hook and unhook to hold and release the pipes.

    İçerik ve akış, görüntü işleme harika. İşçilik harika. İlerleyiş harika. Yine nefis bir çekim olmuş. Sizin içerikleriniz bizim için özellikle Türkiye de bulabileceğimiz yerel markaları tanıtmanız açısından çok çok iyi. Bizim gibi amatörlere ışık tutuyor. Onlar yapar biz seyrederizin ötesinde. Çalışmalarımızın devamını dilerim. Çok keyifli ve öğretici.
