I just found out about your videos on the Internet and few weeks ago and I really thank you for providing these videos. You see , I am Yoruba married to an Igbo man and we've been living in Canada for over 25 years now. We have tons of African grocery stores where the ingredients in your recipes could be purchased, but I couldn't buy them since I didn't know how to cook them until I started watching your videos. Thank you so much for educating me. Remain blessed
Love this :) I am going to cook it for my Nigerian husband once I get the order of Goat head, cuz in Poland we dispose this delicious part of the goat :O And it is so difficult to get a goat in my country... But luckily once you find somebody able to sell you this, he gives you for free things like goat head or cowleg they dispose here... so you just buy a bottle of vodka for the butcher to have free cowleg or goathead or kpomo for like a few months... then you renew your contract :D Anyways sha... I like your channel, you fit your kitchen hehe... I greet o. :)
Chiedo Gloria Poland sell mamy goats to Arabic countries and they send it there full, with everything. The ones you can find to buy here is from people who have 3-4 goats for milk and they slaughter only male
The isi ewu looks interesting and inviting. I will try this. Another thing, I can't believe a man as has handsome as u could cook so well. Well done Sir !
Eating goat eyes sound gross, but I will cook this soup without the eyes though. Thanks man you a the best and I am learning how to cook exotic Nigerian soups from you. Thanks a million and I will let you know how my Isi Ewu soup turns out.
I would like to eat in your restaurant whenever I visit England because you are the best Nigerian cook I know and I cooked your Ayamase soup recipe last week, it turns wonderful. Where is your restaurant located in London? Thanks for all you do.
na wow ooooo i cant believe i just saw someone eating an whole eye. but nice video, always wanted to learn how to make this. A man that can cook! CHEERS to that! lol
you cook the brain in a nylon bag then pound it with the pepper ... isiewu doesn't need all that thyme and ginger ...moreso utazi and nchanwu leaves are both combined for great taste ... give it a try...good work!!! cheers bro
Golden Jewel... Thanks for your comment . I understand your point. I like keeping things minimal in my videos so viewer can enjoy the friendly combination of all the ingredient in their meal. Calabash nutmeg has a very strong flavour and can be overpowering if more is applied as you have suggested. Moreso, with the soaked bitter Utazi leaves added to the meal, you want a balance of rich-full taste in your mouth when you eat it.Once again, very grateful for leaving your comment.
Never eaten Nigerian cuisine, but looks great, as I love your base ingredients you use (such as cows foot etc). only one little thing: you could avoid using the knorr cubes (with the salty artificial flavor) and instead brown the meat before cooking it (a little oil on very hot pan. 3-4 minutes on each side). it would add the deep flavor you are looking for in chicken powder/knorr cubes without the salty/artificial taste.
Every African food is incomplete without knorr cubes, it's what makes African dishes unique and different from other cuisines from around the world. We love that salty taste.
Was going to ask where you are based but just saw your Peckham shout out. in the comments. Oya o a beg for those of us not familiar with peckham can you mark out specific places to go get the more exotic ingredients ( am sure your "customers" would appreciate the business)?
hello, i eat many years ago brain goat, a nigerian woman cooked it, i dont know how to make it, pls if u can make the recipe. it was delicious. thanks and greetings from Argentina
Cook d brain tied in a nylon alone side with d goat. Bring it down pound it well season it and pouring d cooked season goat heat and stair. Season to ur taste. Hope this helps.
Thanks for sharing. Very interesting! I've never heard of Calabash nutmeg, what's that? Is there a Naija name for it? There's another ingredient you mentioned, scotch? What's that?
+Adaejiagamba Adaowa his channel is being viewed by people all over the world so he can't just stick to naija names. he is simply trying to make the recipe easy for everyone to make not just naija people. keep up the good work my brother!
***** Thank you. I bet you regardless of how international he is trying to be, it's mostly Naija/African folks that would be interested. What's wrong in promoting our language.
Mariam Konate The food itself is called "Isi ewu" because of the goat head. Try use sheep head instead as it has similar flavour. If not, use goat meat following the process, I am sure you will enjoy it. Please keep me posted.
Well done u for this vedio. I could hug u right now if I could only see u. Now. I know where my mistake came from. Having watched how to cook this on another posted vedio (the type that u just follow what they do ; no audio), I ended up with a disaster Isi ewu twice. U don't want to imagine the mockery from my husband. I'll tell u what u did differently. All the mixing that u did in d pot on the table top from the palm oil to d leaves was done on fire in that vedio. Although d end result appeared nice but mine was a disaster. I can't wait to try it ur way as hubby loves it and we have to go and eat out at £20 per plate if the craving descend on us. Please could u advice where u got d calabash nutmeg from cos dats new (wasn't used in d vedio I watched) and also the goat head. Which market to be precise (hope to God u r in London) . The reason is that I end up with boney goat heads but urs is just sooo fleshy Pls advice. Many thanks!
az lam I apologise my reply is coming late but I hope it will be informative. I bought the goat meat and African nutmeg from Peckham. I live in London so that makes it easy for me. With £20 , you can make 4 of that dishes conveniently with some bit of change left. Have you manage to make it after then for your husband? Kindly keep me posted for any question. I hope and wish you the best in your cooking. Please do not hesitate to send me a message.I will be on the look out for your name.
great cooking lesson, what would help everyone is if you explain how and if you include the goats brain, give hints where one can buy the goat head, even giving an idea how much it costs is a good idea. A complete lesson should include these little things that make the difference. viewers in the west cannot easily find these ingredients aside from londoners residing in peckham. that said, your steps on video is spot on.
Very nice coo he is but I cnt just believe he just ate the eyes 🤮😳😳😳😳 I'm cooking isi ewu now now too though it's Friday so it's isi ewu night instead of Chinese takeaway tnx to you I'm gonna learn how to make chinchin and Meatpie from you soon thank you

+Karolina Pidło maybe you can start the business of importing goat heads to countries that use then just like imported frozen chicken
Chiedo Gloria Poland sell mamy goats to Arabic countries and they send it there full, with everything. The ones you can find to buy here is from people who have 3-4 goats for milk and they slaughter only male

Nigeriacuisine ok thank you so much
Mariam Konate or try using lamb head, here in Cali it’s hard to get goat head
Looks tasty, but, isn't the meat tough if you only boil it for 30 minutes? Unless you prefer the meat to be tough.
