Note: The last 10 minutes of video is from KTLA. Someone must have changed the channel towards the end of the broadcast.

Thank you for this! I was the astronaught coming out of the space ship for a phone call (Fansteel) about 1:03:00. Announcers called me "he", nope I'm a girl. So fun to reflect on such fun times. Thank you! 💕 PS, I was also "Merlin" the following year giving an apple to the dinasour. Dressed pretty heavy to look like old Merlin again called me a him. After the parade a girl came up and kissed me on the forehead, said I love you Merlin, I freaked out. The designer of the float cracked up laughing and said, "yup you look just like Merlin". 🤣 Fun times...

This is great! I always enjoy hearing stories like this. It's one of the primary reasons I publish this sort of content.
The floats today in 2022 are no where as elaborate and that’s been this way for the last 4 to 5 years now. Especially since Rodriguez one of the the most famous float designers has died!
Went to the museum they showed at 10:35 in December 2022. They still had the same art pictures there.

We were the LHS Trojan Band from GA, but yes, had the same costume/mascot as USC.

@@Mattcai2004for some reason the foster’s home for imaginary friends float used this soundtrack in 2007. 2007 was the last time that music was ever used. It was never used ever again. By the way, Willard Scott was in the 2007 parade in a car with a top hat on. The last time he was in the parade was in 2001 when he rode the Tom turkey float.
