I wish Saucony would sell their sock liners (insoles?) separately. Alas, they do compress and it would be nice to be able to buy fresh ones to put in our everyday footwear.
This is a great idea - for example, Saucony designed insole/orthotics that are designed to add more arch support without compromising the engineering or intended feel of the shoe. On the other hand, Brooks sort of does this already by offering standard, support and stealth fit for most all their shoes.
The Hurricane 24's are great I'm looking forward to the 25's. I didn't even anticipate getting the 24's. When I first found out about them, I wasn't excited. But then I tried them on in store and walked out of the store with them.
We hope you enjoy this convo. We wanted to bring some slightly more slowed down and indepth talks on the new footwear coming in so we were excited to do this pod. We have chats with Brooks and Puma as well which will come out in the next few days. You can get ahead of the game though by listening to the full audio pod here: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/220-2025-shoe-preview-with-saucony-brooks-and-puma/id1518639507?i=1000679176064
I have the Tempus and Hurricane. The Tempus I use for workouts, and the Hurricane for easy runs. I’m an older runner, so appreciate some cushion with stability.
Love the Speed line. Wearing Tempus as i write this, very comfortable. Next Saucony purchase likely to be the Trainer or Hurricane. Fantastic pod, keep up the good work.
Often wonder how much attention is given to lacing systems that allow the user to lace in reasonable time and allow flat laces to lie flat without twists in the laces.
I’m interested in the incredi run foam trickle down into the trainer . Not paying for elite racer , Will watch their reviews on new trainer with incredirun; basically new kinvara pro .
In your review there is a checklist “Is This a Good Shoe for Walking” . Does “somewhat” means better than “Okay” and “ average”? I enjoy wearing my Cumulus 25 for walking and standing and was surprised to see the Cumulus 26 got only “somewhat” in this checklist. Thanks!
Got my hands on a pair of 21. Many didn't like the 22 as it had lost the bounce and versatility of previous iterations, so I decided to skip it. Hoping the 23 will bring it back.
I still have a pair of Speed 1's with 335 miles on them that I got in 2022. The inside of the heels have little holes, but otherwise they're in great shape.
Can we all just agree that the Triumph 22 was a massive brain fart from the Saucony team? They put the powerrun PB on that shoe and... totally ruined it. The 22 lost the versatility of v20 and v21 and it gained weight!! I just can't fathom what they were thinking when they dropped it... maybe push the customers more towards the Speed/Pro line? I hope this v23 goes back to what made so many people fall in love with the model: a cushioned shoe that can pick up the pace a little. The 23 can still not be the first choice even for slower runners on race day but please, please make a shoe that doesn't feel dead underfoot! Andrea. You're too nice with the Saucony team... so much so that it feels like you're giving them free ad space. Tell them what's what.
Speed 2 was by far the best shoe in the line. I could use it for race day. I personally would buy it again at full price if I could. Speed 3 and 4 were bad. Slow and clunky. You geniuses messed them up. Made them heavy, slow and clunky. Why?! Who was the incompetent who decided to kill such a great shoe? Can I get the Speed 2 back, with the srs insole?
Not really prepared, I’d say. If you’re the Saucony reps, you’d frame the discussion around what customers loved about Speed 4, and explain how you’ve improved those aspects in Speed 5. Their descriptions are a little too inside, and not consumer benefit focused. Speaking style still has the upward lilt at the end of sentences, as if every answer is a question, doesn’t sound confident. Might’ve focused more on retaining aesthetics as current Endorphin range is a grand slam in terms of design and colorways. Re Triumph, the current shoe has been a major disappointment in terms of weight and ride, despite Powerrun PB. Should’ve spent more time discussing improvements to this shoe. A good question the host should’ve started with is 1) what are consumers saying they want, 2) so what are the resulting trends Saucony expects to see. Re sockliner, discussion, goes to show that when you add custom insoles/orthotics, it potentially ruins the engineering of the shoe or at least the feel of it. Just some thoughts.
If there is one brand that has really dropped the ball over the past few years it’s Saucony. Other than the endorphin pro and the speed their shoes are Meh and don’t resonate with consumers. The Triumph/Ride/Hurricane are decent shoes but when people try on other brands head to head they go with something else
Many brands dropped the ball this year with their insistent stability nonsense However calling a shoe the endorphin speed and filling it with stability nonsense is the ultimate nonsense.

This was great - would love to see a trail line equivalent....
Thanks so much for the update information! I run in the Triumph, Tempus and 2024 Hurricane. The updates are appreciated! LOVE Saucony running shoes!!!

What is happening with the Endorphine PRO ? Is there a PRO 5 coming out in 25...
On what part of body should I wear sock?
Love this preview! Let's go! 🔥🔥🔥

This is great! Hope you can include hoka as wrll

This episode is so cool. Also that Triumph colorway is nice.
I'm really interested to see reports on this new IncrediRUN foam. When can we expect to see a shoe with it out of embargo?
Very soon
I’ve loved all 4 Speed models, with over 400 miles on the Speed 3. Just passed 30 miles on the Speed 4!
Love the Speed line. Wearing Tempus as i write this, very comfortable. Next Saucony purchase likely to be the Trainer or Hurricane. Fantastic pod, keep up the good work.
Hurricane 🌀❤
Cant wait for thr xodus ultra 4

Would’ve preferred to see the shoe more during the discussion.
Hoping for a reemergence in Triumph 23. I hated the 22
I was looking into the endorphin speed and pro 4s but I might just hold off now.

@@ChrisLin-d1z after almost a year of using it as a walking shoe, I need to upgrade it to a solid yes - Matt
Always liked the Speed and Endorphin like but the upper pinches my pinky toes. The general fit doesn't work for me. ASICS fit me better.
Excited for the Triumph 23 release. As a Triumph fan, the 22 didn’t work for me and hopefully the 23 recaptures some of previous Triumphs strengths

I would like to be the mouse lab at saucony so they can test their products on me 😂
I'm looking forward to the Hurricane 25's
They really messed up with the Speed 3. The 5’s look promising can’t wait to try it.

@@Feanaro5503 I have 970km in my speed 1 and there's no little holes
🤷♂️speed 3 are brilliant for me. Love them,
The Speed 3 and 4 drove in the wrong direction. They became heavier and chunkier by each iteration. Hope the 5 sets them on the right track again.
@@bassgroup6841 100%. they lost touch with what made it a great shoe in the first place
Is the heel of the speed 5 chunky like the speed 4?

Shut up and take my money

A lot of runners are using the Endo pro 4 and Endo elite though
Ride is also a good shoe
Kinvara Pro is my favorite shoe of all time.

As Saucony takes a bigger portion of the market than ever before in 2024 you make no sense.
