Dons dice like to swing! I followed your games at Adepticon, sorry you didn't make it through the LCQ Don. Well done Joe with the 42nd placing!
Yeah Joe did well!
Played with the laser cannon this weekend, perfectly placed with 2 kill-zone alleys to easily rotate to, and the empire avoided them both the entire game, just skirting the edges of the board. Didn't get to fire off a single shot and they just twiddled their thumbs for 6 rounds! Grrrr.
That can happen but not often and I’m sure it meant the empire player had to do some non optimal movement to avoid it

The key swing of the match was the Sister elimination. Don has it spot on. They need to be a round 2-3 engagement in close combat to ensure they have token generation support. He had to dive early and got wiped on a crazy swing of the dice. Great match overall!

Well done in worlds! Didn't get the chance to say hi but love the channel.
Just a rules query, I noticed that force push was used to move a unit on the central temple that looked to be higher than a silhouette. The forum states speed 1 moves can't be used to do 'climb' actions. e.g. force push, kashyyyk defenders rule etc.
We made sure to use the stairs when force pushing at the temple
Watch till the end to hear Joe talk about swingers. It’s true, not clickbait, insane comments about swingers by Joe.

Swingy dice & Don kind of go hand in hand. All the blocks, then none. Seventh Sister seems like too much of a glass cannon to be useful, though her potential for tricks is really up there. She's just gotta survive to use them though.

the survivability of the rebels and the oneshot of the sister did kill don's chances. at the start the empire start worked, but (swing of the dices) the rebels were too tenacious. thanks for the vid.

so in german we have a word called "Eierschaukeln" which roughly translates to "swinging your balls" as like "your balls are sitting on the swing on the playground" and i think it perfectly describes what these ewoks have been doing these last 25 games. GGs!

Joe references dice too much haha. Vets take 3 from 5 pierce 1, sister gets 1 shot with immune pierce.
Swings always happen; dice average out. Say this for Don’s sake as I’ve noticed a lot of recent games have gone this way. Joe makes comments like “the dice decided this game” for first 2 rounds of this game.
I’ve played against opponents who get all up in arms with dice rolls and it just makes you feel bad. Like sorry? Haha then it flips and they realized there was no reason to be frustrated.
Your not wrong, it’s hard in the moment not to state it though. But dice swings happen all the time and you got to let the game play out. Thanks for watching!
