Went to Trader Joe’s for the barbecued Korean short ribs you recommended a few episodes ago, and the cashier said “This has been real popular these few days” 🤣
If you have a Korean restaurant or market anywhere, try it out. Trader Joe does good food, but can't vouch for it being the same though as the original ethnic food it's imitating.
@@KingPinguofDingu The korean ribs at trader joes is legit. Better than most restaurants, no lie. Has to be the frozen one though not the refrigerated one.
Mikey, you make my heart so happy. Your genuine joy when you try something delicious is infectious. You're definitely the light I need right now! Thanks for being you.
I lived in Seattle area for almost 5 years and never got to try any of these places, I can't wait to move back later this year! I'll be all over these places!
I live near Seattle and I am really hoping all of these places survive through covid. Where I am at there has been several restaurants that have permanently closed their doors. I have to say, you find the most amazing food in these small little places. Drool worthy.
I’ve binge watched almost every video of Mikes now! It’s helped me through these lonely days 😎 his love for good food and his pure enjoyment/enthusiasm is utterly infectious!
I’m a new sub and I’ve been binging your videos on this channel and the dumpling one. Just want to say I really enjoy watching your videos and it’s brought me much joy during this quarantine. Thanks for all you do for the small local restaurants. Much love brotha
Mike I went to Trader Joes and picked up the Korean rib and you were so right. It was just delicious. Thanks so Much for sharing. I enjoy this Video also.
I’m so sad he’s moving, love his videos, BUT I understand why he’s doing, wishing you only the best and good eats Mikey🥰🙏🏻🥰🙏🏻🥰🙏🏻, also a good show is miss truth, sooooooooo good, waiting for them to upload more episodes, on amazon prime.
I'm sad too, even though I haven't lived in Seattle for 20 years (my rent - in Belltown! - was $500/month!!) But I'm glad he's heading back to NY for now. I think he needs to be closer to his parents. 😊
Sad you're leaving the state now, but thank you for highlighting great local spots in and around Seattle! I'm sure the business owners will appreciate the traffic coming through during this time!
Random Pennsylvania mention gotta love it. Thanks for being a part of my quarantine RUclipsr’s I enjoy. Especially being an essential worker and all your videos help me de stress, thanks Mikey
Mike: Stares down a massive crowd in the middle of a gang war in order to get nom noms. Also Mike: freaks out when a few more people come into the same restaurant.
Pandemics are different. You can hurt other people by getting it. He's said in previous videos that he really cares about not being a spreader of covid.
There used to be a local Chinese buffet. It had soft-serve ice cream and it had a coffee machine. OMG. Put some soft serve in the coffee cup, then top with coffee. Best. Coffee. Ever. Now trying to imagine it with more interesting ice cream or gelato. Sounds magical.
When I went to Guam I had no Idea that their Food was SOOO Creole! If you like Creole food Guam is like the spot where they do it right! They have a lot of influences into their Food that is something that honestly everyone could enjoy. Very good food
Words to live by! This is why when i tried my now favorite vietnamese place i got pho beef curry deep fried wontons and a chicken and pork combo on rice (all things my best friend told me i had to try from there) they were all amazing and we both had loooooots of leftovers
Hawaii is amazing! I've been 4 times and the food is just exceptional. Also, as an Aussie, don't eat Koala haha! These videos are helping me deal with lockdown, I swear! And making me hungry!
Some of these foods look really good!! That Hot Pot type soup looked good - broccoli included.. and the beefy broth soup, too. The rice with its of pork looks really yummy!! But that fried chicken?? That has to be HEAVEN!!😊
That's two of my favorite Seattle places! Kauai and Cakes of Paradise. I love the haupia cake. And, I didn't like pineapple upside down cake until I tried theirs. It's fantastic!
1. Macaroni Salad isn't a traditional Hawaiian side dish... it is part of our local plate lunches (an array of items all on one giant plate, probably got it's origins from the plantations, where multiple ethnicities may havr shared their food and languages (pidgin began there too!). 2. Laulau are usually wrapped in Ti Leaf. Keep up the great work Mike! Love your videos!!!
I binge watched all 54 episodes of Princess Weiyoung. Loved it! And apparently those actors are a couple in real life. And that's them singing together in that song. Life is but a dream. 💗💗💗
I'm also in Seattle, and I haven't found food in Seattle that great. Except now!!! After seeing your videos, I am getting introduced to so many different places! Love the videos 😍
Cakes of Paradise is phenomenal. The restaurant and bakery are owned by amazing people. If you haven't yet, try the dobash cake at the bakery. You won't regret it!
Dang, I should've waited until I had some food in front of us or after I ate.... Got me really hungry now! Love the videos Mikey! Also, you look closer to Kakashi than Naruto.
Sorry about your car. My mom was once hit while parked and she was still in the car. Some people shouldn't drive, and don't own up to their actions. I hope your travel plans get back on track. Thanks for all the yummy noms you share with us :) .
The cakes are so good! Not too sweet and just the right amount of tartness! Try Tres Lecheria in the Wallingford area by the UW. You need to order on line, but that way you don't have to park and they will bring it to the curb! ALL THE FLAVORS ARE MIND BLOWING!
Do Nhat yet he will walk around a shop with loads of people buying food shopping quite happily. I think he’s well and truly bought into the media scaremongering and it’s made him overly paranoid.
A visor, googles and two facemasks do look worrying. But we dont know (at least i dont) if he has any underlying conditions like asthma that put him to risk
Mikey, I really enjoy watching your videos. I am also incredibly jealous of all the food you get to eat. Like, if I could i would jump through the screen and join you on your food adventures because they all look so amazing and delicious. Especially the way you describe everything. Have a good one. :)
Taste of Hawaii and the cake place next door is owned by the same family from what a worker told me. Their food is absolutely amazing. Makes me miss back home. 😍
I have always had such a deep respect for Hawaiian (all Polynesians) culture and traditions. Ive wanted to move there since I was a child and then when I got surgery I was told that warm climates help stop the scar from hurting. It’s a shame I can’t move there because of what’s happening with overtourism. I’d rather support native Hawaiians by not going that contributing to the overtourism that is negatively impacting their community. At least I can see you enjoying their food
May I recommend, see if you can travel to the American territories like Guam, American Somoa, etc., they provide unique experiences and are within the US. If not, consider Alaska.
Went to Trader Joe’s for the barbecued Korean short ribs you recommended a few episodes ago, and the cashier said “This has been real popular these few days” 🤣

I’ve binge watched almost every video of Mikes now! It’s helped me through these lonely days 😎 his love for good food and his pure enjoyment/enthusiasm is utterly infectious!
Finally a sit-down place that serves food with re-usable cutlery and dishes instead of throw-away plastic stuff.
You are simply the best and funniest foodie, I enjoy each and every one of your episodes.
May I suggest adding price on some food items please.
Mikey eating ice cream and watching a chinese drama is everything I never knew I needed in life 😂💜
Being from Hawaii and hearing the mac salad jokes are so funny!! “I bet if you order a tea it would come with a mac salad.” Cracking up laughing.
He kept saying banana leaf and i'm going: "Ti leaf! Ti leaf!"
