when I click waydroid, nothing happens - Kubuntu 22.04 EDIT: I found the solution. Before we login, there is the desktop session option in the bottom left where we can select the options KDE plasma X11 or KDE Wayland. Select KDE Wayland and then login. Then if we open wayland it will open. First run may take some time but you will get the android desktop.n
Hello. I've tried these steps on my Kubuntu 23.10 (Mantic Minotaur) but when i switch to KDE Wayland (Plasma (Wayland) option is the one that appears to me in the login screen, I guess they are the same or similar, if not please tell me how to set this up) all I get is a long-during black screen with no apparent sign of being loading anything. I've left my pc like that for 20 minutes but nothing changed, no sign of progress. Am I missing something? Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance.
@@guiriosss Did you install Kubuntu with default setup or did you make any changes during the installation process. By default KDE uses X11, it should be showing those options. Try running a live USB stick and check if its X11 or wayland. Even I am not sure of the solution.

I need that--- as my security camera stuff is wifi - and I need to run it on android-- but can't yet.. Tried the other programs for that- and none of them work worth crap. BUT doesn't it REQUIRE you to run WAYLAND also???? I have a couple things I use regularly that won't work on WAYLAND... I just installed ANBOX on Zorin 16.3 and it works -- ok. not perfect- but good enough..

I tried to troubleshoot it, but it didn't work, so I decided to reinstall it. After reinstalling, it worked well, but just like the first time, when I rebooted my PC, it wouldn't open again ( i install this on Wayland). Is there any solution for this?

What is the error you are facing ? You might need to see the Waydroid CFG file. May be something is being changed.
