He was into the PUNK ROCK scene in Austin and he got into filmmaking and underground rock like Butthole Surfers, Meat Puppets or Scratch Acid. All the while filming shorts and writing a lot, now picture all of that in an underground say.... 1986, Austin, Texas. That would be a fucking cool film.

About sexist part....
While I was watching the movie, I disagreed with many of their actions, when there is talk about the girls, but we need to look at the whole picture and be consistent.
Girls there, already knew that those guys want to use them sexually and they were totally fine with that. If guys are sexist for that, then it logically follows that girls are too.
That brings me to the modern times, where people are being sexually positive, meaning that sex, with consent, is a good thing.
Then we look at this movie and see that there was sex with consent, thus it cant be looked at it as sexist.
The problem is that today many people do not use their head, but what they have between their legs and then believe in all sorts of silly ideologies.
