q is a magazine show that’s unpredictable in the best sense - proud to be “a wild mix of culture by way of Canada” as described by the New York Times. The Globe & Mail noted the show’s “raging popularity across a variety of platforms -- podcasts, television, websites, satellite radio, terrestrial radio, and occasional live remote broadcasts." This interviewer is A+
such a fan of linklater's work, especially the "before..." trilogy. it's wonderful to see here what a warm and thoughtful person he is.
Awesome interview. I just watched, *Dazed and Confused*, a couple of days ago, and was struck by how well he had captured that moment in time for high school students. I'm looking forward to seeing what Linklater has done with the college years.
Great interview, great director, great film. 21 minutes well spent :)
Absolutely love this film! It should not be thought of as a sequel to Dazed though. Very different feel. Phenomenal though.
Saw Everybody Wants Some for an advanced screening at the TIFF Bell Lightbox, 10/10
I can't WAIT to see this, Dazed is one of my absolute faves
great interview as always
Very good interview.
really enjoying Shad on q, my only suggestion would be for him to give more interviews a satisfactory structure. The previous host (he who must not be named) was great at leaving you feeling like you'd gone on a journey with the interviewee and arrived at a natural conclusion, that's the only thing missing from an otherwise brilliant reboot!
I know your comment is 6 years old, but I really wanted to know who is that guy who must not be named
Great review man.
The weird thing is that as I'm listening to this, I was reading Dostoyevsky's "Crime And Punishment" for the past fee days...
Linklater never makes eye contact with his host. His verbal response is connected in a very direct way with questions asked by the host, and the host appears to be looking at his guest, ( not staring). Maybe Linklater is glancing at notes🤷♂️
