    It was by a narrow margin at the Fifth Ecumenical Council in AD 553 that the (physical) church eliminated the (spiritual) reincarnation teaching that had existed in the early Christian teachings of Jesus, Paul, John, and Origen. It is true that in His brief three years of teaching, Jesus did not specifically teach reincarnation. This was not His mission, which was rather to make sure that people believed He was the Son of God: our Savior and the King of Heaven. It is important to note He never denied reincarnation in his teachings, but He did acknowledge it a few times (see below). Jesus promised to send the Spirit of Truth (John 14:26) to teach the many spiritual teachings that Jesus did not have time to explain in detail and which the people of that time could not yet comprehend.
    The Bible available to us today does not explain reincarnation in great detail, but there are numerous clear references to it. Looking at the many passages surrounding the second coming of Elijah (Malachi 4:5; Matthew 16:13-14, 17:10-13; Mark 6:14-16, 9:11-13; John 1:19-21), one gets the impression that reincarnation was a common belief at the time the Bible was written from all these comments about someone being born again and the longing for a prophet to come again. This would explain why there is not much detail on it, since one need not elaborate on understandings that are commonly held.
    Nicodemus was concerned about his ability to change at such a late stage in his life when he
    asked Jesus: “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus’s answer was: “Most assuredly.” In John 3:1--21, Jesus is telling an elderly man, who had perfectly heard the teachings of Jesus, that clearly he did not have enough years left to change his ways, but that through God’s love he would have at least another life in which he could live according to these new teachings.

      That passage actually points to reincarnation. Your current physical body is a single use vehicle. You do not re-enter it once it dies - it decays. You are then judged on the life you have just lived and if you have failed one of your lessons or have committed a grevious wrong against a fellow human then it is back to earth for you.

    • @mannya7765
      @mannya7765 Год назад +3

      If the passage is read carefully, we see that Jesus says the man's blindness was NOT caused by any sin of his or his parents. He was made blind for God's glory. More on this in the book of Job in the old testament.

    • @hornplayer1228

      @@mannya7765 The disciples were aware of the ten commandments where it is stated that a persons sins can be passed down through the generations - 4 generations are stated in this case. Allowing approx 75 years per generation that can mean 300-400 years until one would have to reincarnate to atone for some wrong committed in your present life. Jesus did not condemn reincarnation but merely pointed out that the law given to Moses did not apply in that instance - the man had been reincarnated in order to become a subject for proving Jesus's Divinity.

    Re-incarnation is way of Hindusim belief. In other words all humans are born not equal. You father's soul upon his death may be re-incarnated into a foel. When the life of soul ends, is there answer in Hinduism, how man was initially first created, any final accountability for a soul, is World/universe going to end?

    There is no evidence that what is in the bible is from God or is truthful. James 1:27 calls it a religion what you are reading. The dictionary says religion is a set of beliefs. 2 Tim 3:16 says all scripture is inspired by God. But if something is truthful, then why would it have to be inspired?
