damn bro. i just layed down in front of the truck and did it with a normal wrench and a small ratchet. no removing wheel wells or using 4 miles of extensions. it was just there in my face, bolted to the inside of the frame. took less time to put 1/2 turn on it than it did to watch this video.

You got lucky. Mine was so tight. Ended up using the 1/2 " breaker bar and an impact swivel .

Need an update: have you had to ad a steering brace? Has the slop come back since the adjustment?

Traded in my 2013 Focus ST for a 2016 Ram 2500 (in 2016) and the difference was insane. Felt like I was driving a boat. Kinda used to it after three years but I wouldn’t mind going back to that tight steering. Thank you for making this!

This method was easier than only accessing by the top!!! When I tried that method, I even ended up taking out a fan brace to get better access and that was not needed with this method at all. THANKS!!!
When you break the nut loose, does the hex inside turning along with it?
Wonder if this would be a reason of death wobble too.

Just upgrade steering box and get a borgeson steering shaft. Problem solved
If it's not leaking, no sense in spending $700, when a few minutes of time fixes it.

I adj mine today. With 122K I had to turn it a little more tha 1.5 turns to tighten it up.
You should check u joint throughout entire shaft for movement before messing with steering box
Think he could have said which way he turned the screw to tighten steering

Just bought one today and was like maybe I was just spoiled with my tundra
this is a great way to show people how to destroy the tapered roller bearings inside the gearbox. Running that nut in too far will cost you :/
