Hi Darpan, just wanted to ask if we have more than one dimensions, then how are we going to select the pane down option in this approach ? If i want top N vs others at pane level ?
I'm just making notes of this tutorial: Drag sales to column shelf Create Parameter > Top N Create Set of State > Top > By field > Select Parameter we created Create Calculated Field > IF [State Set] then [State] ELSE "Others" END Drag that Calculated Field to Row Shelf Show Parameter (Top N) Done 👍🏻
instead of "top N based on sales", can we show flexibilty of multiple measure. eg if sales number are same for both sub category then it should consider other measure like profit for that 2 subcategory.
You can add the second dimension as the first field in the row shelf. Then you will get a view that will show top N vs others at pane level. You can check this video: ruclips.net/video/NKf9ixbzb5M/видео.html
Hi Darpan , it seems this approach does not wok when filters are applied
Which filters are you using? Try adding those filters to context. After that, I guess the filters should work correctly on the view.
@@helpful_tipss ...thank you for the prompt reply
Did it work?
@@helpful_tipss .It worked like charm. Thank you again for quick response I wont hesitate to ask any further doubts :)

It will consider only the sales measure.
How to do it in case of multi dimensions? For each Category -> TOP N Sub-category and Others

If we use filters, this does not work accurately
