Hi I am not clear with your question but please check the below timestamps in the video where i have explained how I have used sets to show top N , bottom N and both of them together . Hope that helps. 02:49 - How to show Top N values 06:26 - How to show Bottom N Values 07:29 - How to show Top N & Bottom N values combined in tableau 08:57 - How to show Top N vs Other in the form of Bar Chart
Hi@@DataVizCanvas Thank you for your quick response. I was able to achieve the same step in your tutorial using the superstore data for top & bottom single and combined set. But when I tried with another data, to find the sales of top and bottom selling product, Each time I drag sales to column the x-axis rage start from 0M to 60M and it does not include the minus range. Hence I was unable to get the combined top and bottom in one visual facing opposite direction. I think that is because the data sales do not include a minus rage. Is there another trick to go around this?
Could you please help me understand how I can find "Create Set Menu" (4:33)... In Tableau public I chose a field "Create Set", but after that immediately I saw new Set... without Menu... Why?
Hi Aryo, You can apply the same logic on subcategory (Dimension) and with any measure value. When you apply any filter on the data then make sure you are referring to tableau order of operations. Please try and let me know in case of any issues. Cheers! Gurpreet
can you make this work in Tableau Online? I can't edit the set :(
Nice video! 2:17 Can you accomplish the same thing if you were using filter instead of parameter?
Top N and bottom N you can achieve using filter but it wont be dynamic. For dynamic selection we need parameter. Hope that helps :-)
Great work. Can you please explain how you got the bar placed in the middle and how The top N and bottom B are facing opposite direction. Thank you.

Try using tableau desktop and let me know if you still face the same issue.
@@DataVizCanvas In Tableau Desktop it works properly.
Thank you!
Thanks sir
You are welcome 😊
Thank you. Is there any workaround to create top N vs Others of subcategory in date-region-category-subcategory
