It was with this episode that Nickelodeon says "NOPE", and takes it and the remainder of the episodes off the air, and makes the show online-only (behind an age-gate) for the remainder of its first run.
It was a variety of reasons. One being ratings and another being the episodes getting leaked beforehand and they did well online on their site. The time slot change didn't help much either. Luckily they already greenlit a fourth season. Nickelodeon poorly managed the show.
Yea, the Queen is dead. I think someone else already said this but, this was the last episode that aired on Nickelodeon because of the death. Even tho they tried to get around it by not being so blatant about it and avoiding saying she was dead. However scene was just too brutal for a kid's network/show, and I'm glad the rest of the show was online only after this. I think that was essential to finishing this series even if it did cause some other issues with budget cuts (which they managed to deal with but there is one episode that became a clip-show instead of letting creatives go.)
It'd have been really funny if we heard one of the prisoner's voices off camera shout from far away in the room in sarcastic tone "Nice job, Nucktuck" and "...Loved your movers btw". 😂 I love audible gags like that.
The theory is that monk Gyatsu used this technique to take out the waves of firebenders those corpses surrounded his remains, back in season 1 of ATLA.
I would of thought for an AoE all he would need to do is created a pocket of space a ball around him the size of the room without Air.. which would of been a bit of a self sacrifice move. It also would of stopped them from Fire bending.
“How come we haven’t seen that until now?” Remember in Avatar when Aang found the remains of Monk Gyatso? He was alone in a room with a bunch of fire nation corpses. Probably all suffocated to death.
3:40 this is the reason why Zaheer is a very powerful villain: he is very cunning and knows where the things are and how to use them 5:43 yes it is woman
Fun fact! The sand shark is a combination of a shark and a fish called the Sarcastic Fringehead which has really weird cheek lip extension things. Here’s it’s also gigantic and lives in a desert for some reason.
Stealing someone’s air from their body feels worse and darker than bloodbending and Force choke combined. I applaud Nickelodeon for doing something so dark and lethal. 👏
Airbenders bending the air out of someone's lungs is an incredibly graphic way to kill someone off, so it's natural they haven't demonstrated it until now. Just like bloodbending, it's seriously physically traumatic. Even bloodbending has the potential to kill people, which we haven't seen so far, except I could imagine Amon killing his henchman by snapping his whole body, which I'm not sure if that was his cause of death or the smacking against the wall (if he died at all, but since we haven't had an update on him after that, I believe he did).
While true we haven’t “seen” taking the air from people, remember in ep 2 of avatar with monk gyatsos body surrounded by firebenders? Gyatso bent all the air out of the room and killed everyone including himself adding an extra layer of darkness over the genocide 😬😂
i looked forward to your reaction to the earth queens death for so long, definitely didn't disappoint because it's a ''kids show'' they arent allowed to say stuff like ''dead'' or ''killed'' but she's definitely gone
that's bullshit, in atla they said that on many occasions "firebenders killed my mother" "I'll have to kill the firelord", even in this season Korra will say "You've killed..."
"This episode is called long live the queen, hope they don't kill her." ten seconds later....
"He wants to take over"
Zaheer literally 2 seconds later: "I'm not here to take over"
😂
"I hope thеy don't kill her"
Zaheer literally 2 seconds later...
😁
"I still don't trust him."
Bending the air in someone else's body felt very akin to bloodbending.
Dude, this epiaode, your reactions were on par man!

Nope. It was back on episode 8. And it was due to poor ratings.

Now, where is the "not a kids show"-counter at rn?😂
I honestly really loved what you were saying about the Earth Queen, and how the people aren’t all WHAT THE FUCK!?! Lmao that was great!

Which the netflix adaptation botched epically
@@user-ft3ul5lp6z Oh, that's sad to hear (I didn't watch the adaptation).
@@Vynjira-chan there are just some fights that arent poppin, overall its a 7/10
I believe in the novels there's a technique mentioned about sucking all the air out of a room, it's more likely ro be that

😵⚰🪦💀
oh she dead
You should just sit down and watch the next 3 episodes in one sitting... it kinda just keeps going.
I don’t think this is a spoiler, but Bolin is not a metal bender. His earth bending talent is hot stuff though.
like really dead for real
