Have you tried turning it off and on again lol
Well jokes aside, Have you tried resetting the bios? if so reset it again, or just pull the batteries with no power cord connected, I got some BSOD before and it was after resetting the bios too and then resetting it again would make it work again for some reason.
Another one would be the ram but it seems that you already done yours there, but do try every other slot too and ran one by one as well and clean the slot by blowing into it, do that as well with the gpu slot, that saved me as well, cpu could have this treatment as well if you have some spare thermal paste.
gpu could also be the culprit here, judging from the issue youre having it mightve actually be too late now, but you can try repaste them because sometimes the paste inside will be pumped out outside and the die was exposed revealing the hotspot that was away from the sensors and cant be detected, and thats why it can be too late because that expose part may or may no be burnt now but hopefully not, if you decide todo so, do use some paste that was designed for a direct die applications like mx 6 or tfx, or even better or the best one ptm 7950 that will change form when in heat.
some would be power issue if your pc cant handle intensive aplications that will push your pc to use more processing power which means more power consumption, then maybe it was the PSU.
another power issue would be the grounding issue, is your pc grounded properly? does it zap you when you touch the case? if so do look into it. oh do check the grounding on the monitor side as well.
and yet another one would be something causing some short like the fans, the case headers (usb 3 and 2, power button, audio, etc), or your peripherals like mous and keyboard, try disconecting them all when turnign your pc or while doing sme benchmark.

Is there a probability this is a thermal problem? I’m currently just using it for music and my CPU is 51 to 54°c. I changed thermal compound with mx4 last year when i got it and i have a stock cooler

If this helps: I have my first AMD build and i'm learning how temperamental it is. Not sure what you have but I had to make sure memory power down was on in bios and updated the bios. I think it's fixed but if i continue to have problems I have no choice but try expo off and/or have the ram overclocked to 5600 instead of the advertised 6000

Do you have a MSI motherboard by any chance? My PC is all MSI/AMD. I have a Ryzen 9 3900x and a MSI Radeon RX5700, the board is a MSI x570 Gaming Plus

@@DestructiveDan yeah I have msi tomahawk b650 7800x3d. It does okay overall, but every once in a while it takes longer than normal to boot (retraining the expo overclock on ram) and when I log into windows sometimes i'd get symptoms like you were desribing. Sound would be really distorted, i'd move mouse around it was really choppy and sometimes the mouse would even draw on my desktop when dragged around as if i was in MS paint lol. Even though this was rare, it was enough for me to experiment here and there to see if i can prevent from happenign again, even though a typical restart of computer would work for another 2 weeks. Well I tried many things including turning off memory power down and oh boy that was a mistake. I heard having that off can help but def not for me, thats' when I got lots of blue screens.
You might want to see if your ram is overclocked, and if it is try having the expo option off and see if that makes things more stable.

@@Haddley333 that right there, working fine for 2 or 3 weeks and having issues after that is exactly what I’m running into with this PC! Personally I’m familiar with tech but when stuff like this happens.. I’m gonna have to look into my BIOS and see what goes on there with the RAM. I currently have it clocked to 3200mhz which is my factory spec, but if this nonsense keeps happening I might want to switch to NVIDIA and Intel. Just gonna be really honest, my luck with the last 4 PC’s and Laptops have been terrible.

@@DestructiveDan it's never fun. I'm not too familiar with your particular setup as i just went to amd myself. It def has it's pros but I learned the hard way of how finicky amd systems can be through forums. If you go to msi forums like i did you might get better advice

The squares on the screen is the main indicator that the GPU has a problem.

    • @DestructiveDan

Does that also count when those squares only show on a crash screen? I wish my cpu supported on board graphics so i could make sure..

probably a faulty power supply, does it blue screen when it has a intense workload or even when you have nothing open?

    • @DestructiveDan
      @DestructiveDan  5 месяцев назад

It doesn’t always blue screen, it just locks up at times. Sometimes the screen just turns black. It happens when nothing is open or on the browser, sometimes just after boot or even hours after gaming.
