ABOUT…
I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?

i hate it that outnumbered is the song everyone knows. The video of him singing "for island fires and family" in the glaciers is SURREAL. In fact; that song is soooo good that i got a tattoo of it hahaha.

Dermot is literally one of my favorite musical artist!! When I first heard "Power Over Me" I felt like his voice and music were always part of me! All my favorite artists feel like they've always been there even when I first listen to them, if that makes sense?!!?
I'm an older man and I haven't heard to much new music that I actually like,but since I've been watching you and your reactions I've been exposed to some great news music such as this one ! I just like his style and his Irish accent when he talk/ sings is awesome !

This is the worst song to review in terms of him showing off his voice! Obviously, his voice is gorgeous, but this doesn't fully show it off. Please react to his NPR Tiny Desk Concert. There you can really hear his raw vocals.

Agree, I love this song so much but it doesnt really show his range. If anything this song best captures the inspiration he takes from rap/hip hop (which probably explains why it works as a single) but his voice is so much more powerful on other songs.
You gotta check out his version of „for island fires and family“ in a mahogany video here on RUclips. It starts with „power over me“, which is great. Or you can skip to 3:40. I think it’s the purest and most beautiful thing I have heard in 2019 ❤️

I was so happy to see you react to Dermot Kennedy. I've been listening to him for years! I found him when he put out his first EP and I've been in love with his voice and lyrics since. You should really react to his song "For Island Fires and Family" or "Moments Passed" or "Glory" or all of him actually hahaha
it's so weird how some people keep their accent on so heavily when they sing. like him you can clearly hear his irish accent with words with a in them but i'm irish and when i sing u can't hear it at all

This is probably one of his most pop/radio friendly songs. He has others so much better. For Island Fires and Family is just beautiful. He has some of the best writing I have heard in a long time, some lyrics are so poetic.
Every time Dermot sings I literally melt.. but his OG Tiny Desk Concert will forever be my fave.. no frills.. no editing just the the worlds best voice 🙌

Love Dermot moment I heard him for first time. I stopped what I was doing to enjoy his gorgeous voice. Not many instantly captivate but Dermot does. It's crazy that he is down on himself when it comes to his talent.
Please please please react to “Lost”. All of his songs carry huge emotional weight but Lost is on a whole other level. He also dips a bit more into his head voice in it, not much mind you. As you said yourself he lingers around his chest voice but that makes the head voice much more impactful when he does dip in.

Hello from a fellow REBECCA! 💛 This is my favorite artist and I am so proud of everything he has accomplished. I have seen two live shows in Vancouver and was lucky enough to meet him in person this year. He has a heart of gold and never fails to express gratitude!!
