He is so right about the continued audience laughter. There would be moments where a joke would hit some people right away and they would cracking up - only for a second wave of even harder laughter to start because the punchline took time to sink in. For the show I saw, it was the one involving kidney stones. Even my teenage niece was all, "Huh, what? ....... Oh my GOD!"

When i saw it the first time… im like “welll i mean… he wasnt wrong… itll be very hard and it wouldnt be safe at all but its possible…” when lulu said that and a couple girls behind me heard me and started cracking up even harder

Thank goodness the producers saw a void and found a great way to fill it. Broadway works best when there's variety in the offerings.
