Turning an Old Table and Bed Slats into a Sea Creature

In the woodcarving world there's generally a few types of wood that people will recommend for carving. But what if you just have random bits of wood lying around and you still wanna try woodcarving? Well...who says you can't?
Even though I wouldn't wanna carve this type of wood every day, I'm still glad I took what was essentially junk and turned it into something new and one of a kind, all while learning about the Gaelic sea beast, the Cirein Croin.
