FWIW, I *just* (Early Oct. '23) got an X07 and it had all the upgrades of the X08 and NO drag brake! Looks like the only difference between X07 and X08 now is likely the shell style, but I can't speak on if the X08 dropped the drag brake or not, but they are both down to $160 on Amazon and doesn't look like they ever tried to charge more than $199 on their web site... Hopefully Hosim learned a lesson after your brutal honesty here, but for $160, all the upgrades and no drag brake, at least the X07 style seems like a decent buy!
@rcguygarage I recently bought X08 and i dont have that Drag brake issue, i think they fixed it based on the feedbacks. Only issue i am facing is, its not going on straight even on low speeds with speed trim set to lowest.
Both the x07 and x08 have that drag break ESC issue and not even buying a new one will fix it I've already tried with my x07 the esc in my opinion are junk
Oh brother, that brake issue is gonna cause a breakage due solely to it. I suppose if you got a spare esc, and time cool but out of the box im not willing to pay the price, however if on sale and a spare esc, I might???? Trying to be fair its a tuff little booger. Hope it survived the 3s run, on the other video I think you said it best, that much powah will make it eat itself, then there's the brake issues 😂😂😅 Oh man thank you for what you do i think i would have fed it to big black😂🎉🎉🎉

Yeah man why do all these junk rc’s have screws that were forged in the fires of moridor? It’s like all their money went into making sure we can’t take them apart 🤷🏽♂️
So at 5:27 you can clearly see you decided to just go and send it no matter what happens. :-P Man even I feld the frustation having to deal with that stinking dragbrake...
Ok Guy, here is the issue that I have... When they build these skate parks, why don't they use colored concretes to add some character to these parks? That would make these places look a lot better!
What's sad is that it looks very durable and has great potential, but is gimped by the ESC having the drag break on. I'm not a fan of the philips head screws though, but I could probably get past that.
It seems like if you didnt follow your instinct to let off the triggah this little truck would actually jump well. I think your money would better spent on another option at this price point.

With the chip crunch that's plagued the industry the last couple years, all the good chips went to military\industrial applications. Consumer electronics and toy makers were forced to buy parts that tested below standard.

I know you're kind of negative on these Chinese cars, but I have seen a lot of the other manufacturers that are more expensive not be able to take that kind of abuse before they will break
@@rcguygarage dude how long have you been in the hobby for? obviously not that long, trust me I have had Tamiya cars and trucks that are several hundreds of dollars up to $500 or more losi trucks too and team associated that could not hold up to that kind of abuse with out breaking something expensive on them.

Hi! I've watched a video from derby city. Seems he hasn't the trigger problem. Maybe you can ask him.
Sorry for my English 😅
Knowing it has a drag break you have to stay on the trigger some unless doing a front flip.
It's a bad little truck I like it nice.!!!💯💯
