Beautiful Art... ...and Beautiful Music... I'm just sitting back and Chillin' I totally enjoyed watching and listening to this video... which is rare... because I always mute the video and watch intensely.
Phenomenal! Reminds me of some coffee art, but much more elaborate. Thanks for sharing :) Also, I'd love to know the name/composer/performer of the accompanying music, very beautiful!
Can someone explain this process from the very beginning ? Is it just plain water or is there something in the water. If so, what is it and how much of it to how much water ? What type of paint ? Is the paint diluted with anything ? What type of paper is used ? Thank you, Karen
The base water is prepared from pure water by adding some kind of thickeners (i.e. badderlocks or sahlep) in it. You can add 1,5 dessert spoon of badderlocks/sahlep into 2 liters warm pure water slowly and by mixing consistently. All should be done in room temperature. It should be noted that the base water should be extremely clean without any dust in it. The paint is also special, made from madder and naphtha. Ready paints are available for purchase. There are papers designed for it but any paper (80 or 90 gr) can be used. The quality of results heavily depends on how good your base water and paints are.
İnk is not used. The pigments and paint from soil (oxides) are used. If the paint separates from water and goes down when it is mixed with water. You can use that paint. But for 2-15 days paint must ve fermentated with ox gall (depends on the amount of ox gall you use). You can find the materials and paints from www.karinsanat.com/ebru-sanati-malzemeleri
