When an 812 GTS is your "cheap" Ferrari you can opt without the shields. I would for sure order them on my 812 Superfast but I understand Mr Lee not getting it.
Jay says "...how many miles for break-in", David replies, "1,000 miles", Jay queries "doesn't limit the revs?!", David simply and calmly answers "No.". then an awkwardly long silence. LOL
For whatever reason, Jay does not have Ferraris in his vast collection. I appreciate David's affinity for the brand And the fact that he shares them would Jay and us. Cheers

My family was friends with Luigi Chinetti in the 60's/70's, so Ive actually driven several classic Ferraris including the Daytona, and more than once. NO new Ferrari can compare to the thrill of the classics. Has nothing to do with performance. The new cars are totally lacking in the visceral experience. Overly computerized, overly refined, there is nothing "Enzo era" about them.

What a gorgeous automobile. With the bright lights and the cars tremendous silver shine, the car almost has a light purple hue..I actually thought that the color. I would love that hue on my 79 Corvette.

My fear is a future where it gets hard to find fuel.... obviously that would be way down the road but I can imagine such a scenario where you purchased your dream car that has a big internal combustion engine but you have to really scrounge around for fuel! That would be a dark day indeed....

It's the same result we get if we allow the fossil fuel reserves to run out before we have viable alternatives - less available fuel will make it more expensive. But various countries are already trying to choke the car market into buying EVs, by adding absurd taxes and restrictions on petrol vehicles, instead of pushing alternate fuel projects that are more viable

Thanks for bringing up the warranty discrepancy. According to Google Ferrari is currently offering only a three year commercial warranty and a seven year free maintenance program.
Di loved the camaraderie between David and Jay there is such a respect that is so present when they are talking cars the 812 GTS is so incredible and us mere mortals will probably never drive one ....but one can dream like Lamborghini, Ferrari is out of reach for us ....unless we hit the lottery!

Funny I just watched Jay’s video on the Porsche 918 Spyder which has 4WS (4 wheeled steering) and I left a comment saying that despite 4WS isn’t new practically no other super/hyper cars have it. When driving around in a track in a 4WS car it really feels different to anything else when you’re going around corners and it really helps to control the car allowing you to take corners faster. And now in this video I hear my childhood favourite car company Ferrari (Pagani is my favourite car company making Ferrari a close 2nd) has made a car with 4WS in the Ferrari 812 GTS

lol what? California is probably the best state in the union, the weather is amazing (like they literally said) and offers all sorts of areas to drive in. Jay has flat desert like strips as well as mountainous regions all within 30 minutes of his location.

Hence why Ferrari even made the model. All these hybrid supers like McLaren are just getting old. No emotion just crazy numbers but surpassing 700+ hp the package has to be good. There is fast and there is passion, this has both. People that want number fast no emotion can buy a plaid Tesla and be done.
812 GTS is the perfect Ferrari. Epic V12 sounds and comfortable cabin. Plus usable luggage space for every day use. Come on lottery, only need the entry prize to get it.
That all-metal side badge is about $1500 each. I got one for my son that we mounted on a small sheet carbon fiber with a gold frame we made. He has it on his wall.
@@KevAlberta Didn't pay for it. He was given it by someone we know that runs a body shop. 1 of the 3 studs were broken off. He also got a Huracan seat that had the air bag deployed. I turned it into a computer chair.
I love how Leno tends to jab the throttle right when a guest is talking about the thing he just brought up. Priceless. Doesn’t matter the car or the guest, and especially when Jay gives his opinion and wasn’t really looking for the guest’s side of it.

God this is so beautiful. I love the colours he has chosen. Jay is right, there are way to many red Ferraris in the world, so when someone changes thing’s up a bit, it really pops. I would not have chosen that interior colour, but it really looks great.
I watch David Lee on his own channel and I follow him on Instagram too. He is such a humble guy and very down to earth. I have sooo much respect for him, one of the few humans that are very successful but stayed very humble.
Everybody needs an 812 GTS to get to Walmart faster. I love Leno's car videos. He's a walking, talking encyclopedia of cars. He knows they all have a story to tell to others.
These two guys have great chemistry and really down to earth for how incredibly affluent they have to be to own cars like these.

God this is so beautiful. I love the colours he has chosen. Jay is right, there are way to many red Ferraris in the world, so when someone changes thing’s up a bit, it really pops. I would not have chosen that interior colour, but it really looks great.
I watch David Lee on his own channel and I follow him on Instagram too. He is such a humble guy and very down to earth. I have sooo much respect for him, one of the few humans that are very successful but stayed very humble.
