I'd be interested in a comparison between Wearingeul KyongHui and Diamine Honey Burst 😊 My favorite inks (no order): 💚 Rohrer & Klingner Alt-Goldgrün 🧡 Diamine Honey Burst ❤️ Diamine Ancient Copper 💙 Tom's Studio Neptune 💜 Tom's Studio Iris
Oooh I have to think on my top 5 inks for 2024 .... I've given a lot of thought to my top fountain pens of the year.... but ink wise it's hard to narrow down to 5 & I mix up which year I started with inks too. I too love Waterman Tender Purple!
I just started this year, so I have only a few that I could call favourites. In no particular order: Robert Oster: Blue Water Ice Diamine: Writer's Blood Pelikan Edelstein: Rose Quartz Van Dieman's: Leatherwood Honey
Waterman inks are great for trying out new pens! I use Mysterious Blue and Inspired Blue (turquoise) as test inks, and will add Lamy Dark Lilac to this list. Your top5 is very nice! That Brane is wow! Kobe 57 was so hard to get, and it's a very nice ink, i should ink it up more. My inks of 2024? Lamy Dark Lilac 2024, Lamy Blackberry, R&K Blu Mare (better than Iroshixuku Kon-Peki!), RO Clearwater Rain and - my favourite blue - Teranishi Melancholic Blue, such a great moody blue! Favourite purple: Colorverse Purple Cosmos ( Dromgooles exclusive, unfortunately, but i got a sample and love it!)
Top 5 for this year: Wearingeul Stars in Autumn (discontinued waaa!), Kobe City Museum Gray, Lennon Tool Bar Sun Moon Lake Black Tea, Robert Oster Choc Pudding, Ferris Wheel Press Blushing Mushroom
Kobe Hydrangea looks very similar to Troublemaker Foxglove and Colorverse South Carolina/Night of Myrtle. I think I got my foxglove sample from you, what made the Kobe better?
Foxglove looks like a light blue with pink-purple hues, looks great on Tomoe, but seems a plain light blue on most papers (like Rhodia). Whereas Kobe is a light pinkish with some purple-blur undertones which looks pinky on most papers. On Tomoe, both inks are pretty close. On other papers (Rhodia, Oxford Optik, Yusari, even Midori), the difference is visible
@@alexandrapirvu7945 thanks! I've got a bottle of Night of Myrtle and I'm just going to call it close enough I think. It's a bit on the dry side, but colorwise it's close enough I think.
I loved your top 5 but i'm super surprised that you didn't have any blues since you have some many in the same hue. But I do love your #1. I was surprised that I liked the sample more than I thought I would. I'll have to think about my top 5 . I think I'm going to have to get a sample of the tender purple although I think I might have too many purple ones already but what is one more?

Lovely selection. You are correct, sometimes it is difficult to buy a bottle ink.
It's good that they are not all available forever though - helps me to not accumulate all the things.
I think I would really like the Taccia!
Jet pens has some Kobe 57 in stock
my top 5 inks: Platinum pigmented blue:), Montblanc St Exupéry, Waterman harmonious green, GvFC cobalt.blue, Diamine midnight:)
If I hadn't said it before: I love your (new) intro!

That Kobe hydrangea is very beautiful, I might be waiting for the restock too!

@@soapturtle It seems to be less dry. However, it’s now in my wettest pen, so it’s not very objective.

My top 5 from 2024:
Wearingeul Path
Robert Oster Sydney Lavender
Taccia Tsuchi
Birmingham Pen Company Quantum Teal
Ferris Wheel Press Knitted Nettle
May i ask if your RO Sydney Lavender looks like online swatches? Because mine seems way darker
@ yes, darker than some online swatches. It looks similar to the swatch on the Vanness website
I can't seem to get any colorverse to look good for some reason... In any pen.
