To be fair though, even before the games started adding these end-game grind systems, people still kept playing after finishing the game, whether it was trying to make a perfect set, trying to learn another weapon or just playing for fun.
What i mean by dialing down the grind. having more quality of life changes. Like for example the guiding lands have it where I could raise the level and not only lower the level. Also, I think it's dumb that raising one region lowers another region but that one can be nitpicking. Also, I personally do not like decoration farming. Meanwhile, Sunbreak I think honestly everything else is good or near perfect when it comes to the grind. I just think level 300 anomaly was a little too much.
This series will forever be ingrained into my corememories as the few moments where i felt happiest. Fighting that dalamadur for the first time as a kid just felt so cool i had never been so happy before. I hope to see dalamadur back in wilds 🩷
I have a lot of MH games going back to the first and even a few imports. The grind is the replay factor of the game. It great to do with co-op partners even if you have everything that you feel that you need. And it also feels great to solo some of those monsters that was once a wall to you in the game.
In most games, 300 hours would be considered insane but in monster Hunter, these are average or maybe even low numbers. It’s crazy how much people love monster Hunter.
Brother, You have 500 hours on the same weapon?? How hahaha. I am at 600 in world and I have full Fatalis build in each and every one. You are one dedicated gamer:D
Completely disagree with your opinion of taking away the grind/guiding lands. It’s entirely optional, you don’t need to farm to complete the game, it’s for veteran hunters who want to perfect their build and want to keep playing well past the main story. That is literally the “repayable” part you talk about. Perfecting your builds with your friends, hunting monsters you wouldn’t normally hunt again to get parts, checking the event board for special jewel drops. All keeps you playing in a fun way.
@@adamdrexler I didn't say take away. I say dialed down which they did with updates throughout Monster Hunter iceborne but there are still certain things that annoy me like region lowers when you're trying to level other regions or you can only lower the level not raise each region. For example, let's say I have the Forest at 7 and I want to lower it at 5 to get a monster. I can't raise it afterwards Meanwhile, sunbreak anomalies love them but lvl 300 is still crazy.
I don't agree that the endgame should be stripped back. It gives a reason to keep playing past the end, the endgame grind is entirely optional
Agree. Who wants less game in their game???

I think if cutting back on end game meant a focus on extending and improving the main progression, I'd prefer that.

@@RuneML tbf I was mainly referring to Risebreak, I didn't touch much of the endgame to iceborne simply because it didn't interest me
I saw the Title and the Thumbnail and came to leave a like
Monster Hunter World/Iceborne is the greatest game ever made
"A crazy amount of hours" bro barely finished the tutorial haha
(kidding of course good vid)

Mr. Big Trex loves monster hunter

307 hours? must have like *two* complete builds then. impressive
@@KulveTarothsNightGown well that's generous. 300 hours to complete one build especially in rise. That's funny.
Thems rookie hours son.
Fr I think that’s pretty average but we love to see the dedication.
Honestly I don't need lagiacrus if we don't have actual water combat of some kind.
never heard of the monster carry-chris but damn now that i see lagiacrus i really miss that one. XDD
