I love this car. I got my 2008 new and i find that GM used the cheapest parts they could. It starts to fall apart after 10 years. Too bad because it looks and performs like a beast.
That is sad to know you feel the quality of the Cadillac CTS was not up to par for you. It was first GEN you had or the first of the 2nd GEN using the older stock parts. Yeah, Auto Makers actually do that on purpose to save cost. I think the summer and the autumn seasons are good for new car shopping.
Another feature is, the radio can rewind up to half an hour. So Turn to your regular station, listen for a few minutes and then press rewind as if it were a cd or dvd. Also before you get out of the car and you don't want to miss a song or a sports update. Press rewind and the radio will save all of the broadcast that you would have missed by not being in the car I love it for when I'm getting gas or just going to be a quick run into the store. Best of luck and I have more features if y'all want. MM
That is a cool feature. I did not know about that one. I gave up using Sirus XM Radio and do not care for FM or AM radio. I use My phone's Bluetooth through the Auxiliary Port in the Center Storage compartment. I play music from Pandora Radio. Been using Pandora for years. I use it much more frequent that Sirus XM Radio. Now After December of 2022 the 2G Network in the car will no longer be usable for OnStar Help Service I may sometime upgrade to an Android based double din stereo. Right now I have my phone connected to the top of the pop-up screen by magnetic holder. That is convenient.
If elec start is running if you approach the car Without the key fob and attempt to open the doors.hood or trunk the car will shut off.it also will shut off or time out as after 15 mins of run time. And if you leave the heat or cooling system on before you turn of the car- when you auto start the car will adjust the temperature accordingly for your comfort beforehand.i put mine to auto before I get out and the car does the rest
It is 10 minutes Auto Start Runs, then repeat before ten minutes then a second 10 minutes will stay running. I read the manual on that; it does state after five minutes I done it before after the five-minute mark. It does do 15-20 minutes total though. The climate control coming back on yes, I am aware of that. I don't like to place any more load onto the battery than I must for restart. I tend to shut everything off when exiting the car. It is a pet-peeve of mine. I do enjoy the climate control feature when Auto Starting and the Memory seating.
2 degrees cooler. What do they say about the internal combustion engine. The more air through the faster the engine can run. It is louder up front. Putting an oil catch can be beneficial if you got the 3.6L. The engine does use a lot of oil. There's the intake and the outtake of the airport system. The low side comes from the rear on the passenger side. The one that I attached to. That hose from the back connects to the front or top of Air Intake Manifold. The high side is the is the opposite side from the air intake tubing going to the back of the engine on the driver side. I'm doing it from the low side so far taken apart. The air intake system. There's not much gunk of oil over that direction. As far as performance is concerned, that's pretty much all. I got so little cleaner oil through the system and it's a bit louder. I I've been took that cold air in dake off and replaced it with an OEM box and an after market filter. Since today's meant to be a street driver as well as interstate. I decided to just put in something. That's not really needed the go so fast with all the air coming in. I thought I had too much air coming in with that compared to the exhaust. That endured summertime. I thought it was overheating the car. Sitting long at traffic lights the temperature inside the engine got high. Towards 210°F. I didn't want to do that all the time. I was having issues with the oil filter getting oil from that onto the mass air flow sensor. I would did. I have an idea of getting A dry filter one, but I decided to just put it in the old box, and I also cleaned in that area because it would get a lot of dirt and dust.
@OFFICIALAZURITEKING i cant see the rest of your post the last i see is "im doing from the low side..." and then it wont let me scroll down but yeah i was going to use a catch can for each pcv valve i saw some people recommending that!
Man I get so many comments about this post alone. I am so surprised that I don't have enough subscribers based upon this video.😆 Glad you enjoyed it. At a certain rpm range and gear change when it down shifts from high acceleration. It pops a single pop. In Regular Auto, not Manual or Sport mode either. I was like that is nice from the other day. It was not due to the cold air intake. It's just the car itself. I wanna go faster, but I also don't want to have to wait too long. I've been thinking about doing a Turbo or even that GM supercharger for the V6, I don't know. 1,000 horse power under my hood will be really nice; swapping out to an LSA.
I switch back to stock setup except wit with a Magnum FLOW Pro DRY S Air Filter stock shaped. Not cheap unless go from Manufacture directly. Since summer of 2022, I been using the aftermarket filter. That K&N oiled filter as a Daily driver is garbage to me. the MAS got ruined. Only cleaned the AFe filter twice so far since installed. Yes, I am using Monte GTR Tunner Module. Max gains from that are 25HP and 25 Torque on Race Plus Tune Mode.
I like Cherrybomb. They are fair price and does the same as the more expensive ones. Jones is another cheap not well known Brand. Something with a roar you would wanna go with like a street pipe style? Something like what I have that has baffles. Which? Gives. It a low growl. If it is packed with. Fiberglad glass it will be good it will not rattle that much. Mine has? A. Punchy. Low? End but. When I'm really on? It and high RVM's? It's screams as it supposed to.. I also think the flow of an ex pipe compared to an h pipe is better in sounds better. If you want an exhaust louder just take off the resonators. If you want something kind of like what I have you would want resonators and a good muffler that you like to sound of. Where's the nearest will keep it low? The muffler were keep it not as loud and aggressive.. If? You do the combination of allowed. Aggressive exhaust and a high flowing resonator then that will be good. Mine came with post cats and I had those deleted and replaced for some high flowing post Catalyst Converters.
Sorry for such a late reply to this. RUclips does not inform me when someone post a comment on my own video! Yes, both sides are the stock Manifolds. I went back to the Stock Air Box also since the posting of this video. I am now using an aFe Magnum Pro Dry Air Filter. I noticed issues with the Oiled Filter from K&N, from the Oil flowing pasted the MAF Sensor. She is a daily driver around town so not needing an oiled filter. The X-Pipe is one I ordered on Amazon. Was going for practicality and modest prcing, I shop around sometimes before ordering something. TOTALFLOW Natural Finish, 2.25" TF-SS2424, 409 Stainless Steel 2 Inch X-Pipe-2" Dual (Inner Diameter) at the time $40.00. Thanx for viewing my video.
Sorry for a late reply. If you have not got one of the K& N Typhoon Cold Air Intakes yet, it is a Wet Oiled Filter. I recently took mine off. I want to sell it. If you are interested, I can help. go to my profile for connection by my email. Just identify so I know what it is about and I just do not delete the email from Jubnk folder. I went through Car ID I think for the original purchase.

Uhh, what are you doing sir? Really cool hardware, everything is perfect... until you modify the software of the car. The ECU/PCM needs to be tuned, from ignition timing to MAF/O2 AFR adjustments... Failure to do so will make the engine run anything but well, actually slower which with a noisy exhaust really bad
I think I did not. After I did & do use a Monte GTR Tuner/ Monitor. It only rated at 25HP, and matching Torque gains. I think due to it is a LFX 3.6L engine only (not a desire to blow anything with the higher compression ratios). I use one of these units for monitor purposes and because I have higher flow of intake and exhaust. Had recently installed replacement High Flow Post Catalyst Converters. The Stench of fuel is not there as much now, especially while fresh cold start idling. I can go int the Garage and not detect the fuel vapor. I am now thinking it may be the Exhaust Manifold Gaskets. I also think the Coils are going, or the Injectors. I hear a ticking on passenger side in that area. I always noticed it. Needed to rule out some issues. Currently because I discovered using an Oiled Filter, that had caused some clogging up the MAF sensor, I replaced the sensor (it is a 12-year-old car now), that never been replaced before. I went back to stock air box; except now using an aFe Pro Dry S Stock size filter. The differences are less engine bay noise and vibration, also the heat soak is down 20 degrees. Heat soak was reaching 140F plus in July and August. After the change only 120F to 122F Since climate is now cooling, it is much better.
No it is not, Rear wheel Drive. I would get a Jeep if I wanted something to drive that in meant to go off road. That is what I think of when hear 4x4 or AWD Automobile. Yes, mine is not great in snow.

Yes, it is a safety feature, I assume.

No!

It won’t start because your hood is open
Right, clever security feature.
I have a Cadillac CTS with a k&n and it whistles sometimes. Maybe it’s a air leak??
That could be! Mine did not do that. Check the filter my guess if all the tubbing and connections are tight.
The remote start never works
What are you refering to? While the hood of unlocked?
