Cool video I had been wanting to see one like like this what are your Wire speed and voltage between passes?

I believe the fill and cap was 23volts and speed was 250 if I remember correctly.

Whats the benefit of mig welding a root vs tig? Are we really saving that much time?
Is this more of a structural tube thing?
Great video and great channel. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the comment and compliment!
So, the benefit of this process for us is, we weld a lot of 9 Crome and with this process you don’t have to purge your pipe. So for this purpose, yes, it saves a lot of time and argon. On the other hand, if you were just welding carbon steel that didn’t need a purge, then it wouldn’t really save a lot of time.

Downhill all the way out? How does it go in a 2G?

Not all the way out, just the root pass.
It does pretty good on 2g as long as your gap is good. If your gap is too wide it gets tricky and if the gap is too tight it’s hard to break the bevels down.
