It’s a protein treatment so even though it says soft its main purpose is to strengthen your hair. So it’s going to make your strands stronger then you follow up with your moisturizing products
Oh yeah. I definitely understand that but if something says softening I expect that lol but ultimately I didn’t notice any strengthening like I have with other products. So I don’t think I’d use this again 🥲
I have used this treatment for several years. It's a staple for me. It softens and helps loosen my tangles. I often use it as a drep conditioner but as of lately I have been using it as a quick step before deep conditioning. It has help my curls a lot. I don't like the protein treatment for the same reasons that you stated.
Put the two step treatment in a spray bottle and then make sure to rinse the spray nozzle. For this product I have found following up with another conditioner is the best way to make it work.
I just used this product for the first time and my hair loves it. I have fine low porosity hair. I experienced amazing slip to finger detangle and my hair was soooo soft. I think it depends on your hair, I recommended this to a family member and they said it did not make their hair feel good.
I picked this up a few weeks ago because I needed a protein treatment but didn’t feel like doing the whole process for the 2 step protein treatment. I feel like it worked for me. I wouldn’t say I felt much softening but I was looking for strength vs softness
I just washed this out of my hair, currently deep conditioning lol but yes I agree with you. Every time I use this product I don't see a difference. This may be my last use 😬

I love this reconstructor. I think it helps if you use a clarifying shampoo and then use it with other Aphogee products. (shampoo and conditioner)

I just got the keratin treatment to see how it works on my 4b/4c high porosity hair.
