- Hey you guys! Recently my hair has been acting a little different, so I wanted to try this Aphogee Two Step Protein Treatment to get my hair acting right again. When you color your hair, and as light as mine, you definitely need to not only get the moisture back into your hair but protein to make sure it remains strengthened. My hair was in need of a treatment.

What most people don’t understand is tht when your natural hair is color treated you have to step up your routine because it’s a lot to put up with. Protein treatments are so necessary! Color is fun but I miss my dark hair. Think I’m gonna grow it out for real this time😩💕

I have been using this product for years. This is magic. Gets rid of that straw / hay like feeling . I have icy white bleached hair. When bleaching your hair you always need to use a mask every time you wash & condition your hair instead of conditioner. Every single time. No more regular conditioner. I use Kerastase mask for color treated hair and my hair is literally like silk! Good luck ladies.
Quiana Morell hey which Kérastase mask? I was gonna invest in one but I wasn’t sure what was best for lightened Afro hair but couldn’t find any advice online, and didn’t wanna take such a risk for the price...

@@DHU11 Hey I’m so sorry I just saw this!! Yikes. Ok so I use Kerastase mask it’s the purple mask in a jar- it’s pricey - I think $62- . If you have bleached hair or blonde hair use this. Your hair will be like silk. I also use the shampoo. I was my hair once a week and one week I use the purple shampoo with the mask and the next tome I use the blonde ( non purple) shampoo with the mask. So update that in quarantine I used Aphogee and I guess my hair needed moisture instead of protein and my hair fell out!!! Feel free to message me if you need anything further!

this is why i had to relax with the color 😭 there’s a reason why my hair has been the same length for 2 years, all this BOX color keeps weakening my hair and it breaks off constantly

I use this every 5 weeks keeps my hair damage free, since I have purple highlights. It’s truly the best! I found using it a week before and kind of processing ex: heat, bleach, color. Will prevent damage, and keep color lasting so much longer.
Hi not sure if you'll see this but do you know if you can dye your hair after using the 2 step treatment? I was going to use it tonight but I have to dye my hair tomorrow and don't want to mess it up
@@snowball0jb hey so I use this treatment often it doesn’t bother with your hair color at all you can use this as a follow up to dying your hair
The Aphogee 5 minute reconstructor is my go to every two weeks! It’s amazingggg and okay to use that often because it isn’t as strong.
I used ones a week and it’t work amazing on me

I saw a difference. And you’re right this is a true protein treatment. I don’t know why I didn’t use this when I had my hair dyed honey blonde. I probably wouldn’t have had to cut it

For some reason my hair acted horribly after I redyed it red Jan 1st- probably used too strong of a developer. I immediately bought a bottle of the aphogee 2 minute reconstructor and after 1 wash my hair felt so much stronger. I've been babying my hair all month (DIY flaxseed gel for twists, apple cider vinegar rinse, and this every week) and my hair has finally stopped shedding and the frizz is gone! Hallelujah! Because I will NEVER stop coloring my hair!

i'm so glad i watched this ! i damaged my hair really bad with bleach to the point where it falls out and still does and i bleached it in december ! watching the video i actually saw your curls restored by the end of the video

I just recently dyed my hair jet black using Dark & Lovely box color a week ago and I flat ironed it a day after. I've noticed that I have shedding using only oils & grease instead of leave in conditioners. Your hair has grown since your blond dye job and looks so good. Great video. 👏🤗

I love both the 2 step and the 2 minute reconstructor. I use the 2 minute about every two weeks. My hair is colored, just darker instead of lighter. My hair is high porosity & still needs protein. It like drinks the stuff! I can't get enough. 😊💯
I don’t have color treated hair but I used to use this a lot when I had severe heat damage and still use it every once in a while when I straighten it

I've never used dye or anything like that on my relaxed or natural hair but my go to product for a little color & shine is Henna. 💜 It can be messy but theres zero damage and its worth a try!

Congratulations on 200k! I have been wanting to try afrogee but it might be too strong for my fine hair so I just use the hydrate and repair protein treatment by Shea moisture.
Idk why I never thought of putting this in a spray bottle. Main reason I haven't been using because it's so messy. Definitely will be doing more often now. Thanks😊

I’m about to watch your video, but I will say before I even watching yours, it didn’t do wonders for me as I hoped. It may have been my approach but I just think my damage is too bad. Going to try OlaPlex next. Have you heard of it?

This treatment did wonders to my curls after bleaching it several times this year. It brought my loose curls back to being tight I tried olaplex 3 and it just doesn’t do anything for my curls 😣

Aphogee is the best! A few years ago my hair was snapping off from being bleached so much & I used this product & it stopped my hair from snapping off. If your hair is extremely damaged I recommend this.

I kind of want you dye your hair a cute chestnut brown bc I'm scared your blond will break off and you'll loose your length lol but it's your hair and I'm currently watching all your older videos bc we have close to the same texture and I am growing my hair using wash n gos too

I just used this treatment on my hair before putting it up in a protective style. Can’t speak to how my curls are now (it’s still up). I’ve bleached and dyed my hair once. My hair surprisingly reacted better than I thought but I was VERY scared to do it. Did loosen up my curl pattern a bit. Hopefully your hair gets better!!!

This must was your first time trying this product!! This product is a staple for me!! If I start to notice excessive shedding or breakage!! I pull this bad boy out!! Lol!! These things can happen to not only colored treated hair but also to regular hair!! No more less than every 6 weeks though...It is a hard core protein treatment...so I say read and follow the directions carefully!! Lol

@@snowball0jb It like a protein treatment and will strengthen your hair. So It should be ok if you use before you bleach…bc bleaching is going to break down the bonds in your hair so this will give your hair a layer of protection theoretically

You can buy a single treatment pack for less than $4.
When I had damage to my hair, I just seen the larger bottles. I would have definitely gotten the smaller packs had I known.
It helped my hair so much! I got better results than with Olaplex. Tried both and this worked so much better

I never tried the 2 step. My hair doesn't need it. But the Aphogee 2 minute reconstructor and the Aphogee Keratin is awesome!
kharyzma4u how often do you use the 2 min reconstructor? I use the 2 step once every couple months but the 2 min sounds a lot more convenient

I have used the Aphoghee system and it works.
My hair has always been very resistant to alot of products on the market. About 2 years ago, Due to chemicals from medical tests my hair suffered allot of damage and breakage. I did a big chop at Home my self and started over. My hair dresser used and recommended Aphogee and natural oils only like (Argan, Amla, Coconut Oil, Jojoba, etc.) and sulfate- free shampoo and conditions. However, I have to say, I love all the Aphogee products from the original line and the Curly Hair line in the yellow packaging. My hair has gotten much healthier, thicker, longer and more manageable since using them. It definitely does what it says on the label. Great for all hair types. Great products!!! I highly recommend Aphogee products to everyone! My must have beauty regime items.
I’m gonna try this ! I don’t put heat on my hair or color an my hair sheds like crazy , the front of my hair looks heat damaged but I literally put no heat on my hair , hopefully this will help my curls 🙏🏾😩

So once you complete the protein treatment, do you deep condition and then style your hair as normal? Or do you have to shampoo/condition your hair all over again?

I loved using this when my hair was colored before I had locs. It worked well but was smelly. I like their 2 minute keratin reconstructor it smells wayyy better with similar results
Have you tried this on locs? I'm loced but have dry ends from coloring. I was thinking about trying this but I wasn't sure if it would be worth the possible product buildup.
@@NC-tt4gc I'm seriously considering it I still have color damage. But I'm on the fence because of potential build up. And I'm worried it could loosen my locs. It's a treatment that rebuilds proteins in your hair but step 2 moisturizes

My hair is so damaged. From "texturizing" and coloring. It's actually dying. I am this 👌close to going bald. I screwed up bad. But I'm not giving up. I will try this .I've heard if of it alonnnnng time ago. I just hope it works. I vow to go natural. I miss my edges 😂seriously😐

@@RachaelJohn its actually back to normal.not brittle or breaking off anymore . I haven't texturized or anything. It's still growing where my hair was breaking off.my edges have grown in alot more .All I do is wash my hair with the system .I also use the biotin argon oil shampoo.I make sure My hair is Fully moisturized before putting it in a protective style.ive just been wearing crotchet goddess locs .oh and the hollywood hair bar growth serum and wild growth as well as taking biotin. 10,0000mcg.its a whole process but itll revert.
