- Hey guys!
In this video you’ll see me silkpressing her hair out . I am not responsible for the damages done to her hair due to color and lack of nourishments. I didn’t get a chance to show you all of the products I used in her hair or the shampoo phase but I have everything listed below for you to try. Her hair felt and looked much better than what it was when she first walked in. We will continue to keep treating her hair until it is fully back to normal.

I love how you were not afraid to cut off those dead ends and love that the client understand that health over length is important. Her hair looked so thick afterwards😍
Thank you so much 😊
I cut mines the other day it's so bouncy now
The front of her hair was still thin.
The hairdresser just cut the back to achieve a style but in reality more needed to be cut from the front.
How is this saving health if the cut wen into a style and not the entire head?
@@Savedbythestylist eertrtr64trte4bhy
@@candi1904 she probably plans to cut it as it grows
She wanted to make sure y’all knew this wasn’t her damaging in the disclaimer🤣🤣🤣
I still don't understand why she had to defend herself 😂
These internet streets ruthless lol

It do be like that.
@@KizzyRanatha 🤣🤣🤣🤣 no lies told
I don't blame her!
I wish I lived near your salon or to someone similar. I’ve never had any stylist make me feel like they genuinely care about my hair. I rarely go to a salon because it feels like they either don’t know how to handle it or the ones that actually do black hair are always booked up.
Im gonna have to get some of those products, her hair is amazing! Looks like silk!
I see that shine girl 😎
Therapy... Loved it.. 🙌💯
I literally do every single step in this video and it seems like my presses are weighed down and not lasting
Watch how fast her hair grows back with regular maintenance. Beautiful!

The color and the cut is on point. But, if it wasn't for your TLC and nourishment that you provided to her hair, the color would still look damaging. You really did a great job!!!!
Thank you juicy!
I cringed at the amount you cut, but it needed to be cut. Her hair is now heathy and beautiful. Good job....
Yesss at first I was like oh no baby what is you doing but it came out beautiful
No more cringing girl! In order for us to have hair to cut we must start with a cut and eventually women of color will not blink an eye when we see 2,3,5 maybe 10 inches cutoff! We can do this together girl! Maybe one day struggling to grow length will be a thing of the past!
It only looked like that because the back of her hair was the healthiest.
@ Roxie solis You are absolutely right! I started taking care of my hair and making sure my ends are in healthy condition! Now I’m a couple of inches from tail bone
She was disappointed to see the length but she knew it had to be cut
Yea, I felt for her. I just had 1.5in of dead hair cut off. Broke my heart a lil.
I didn’t get that.... she was fully smiling lol....
@@Missesssstt she sure was 🤷♀️. I was thinking , cut a little at a time lol
Yeah she didn’t look that happy to me💀
If client asked for cut, then fine. But I had traumatic only 3 inches cut w/o permission when I was young (from chlorine damage). New beautician gave weekly treatments, regrew my hair & never cut more than inch w any damage.
Treatments & trims worked for me.
This color is gorgeous 😍😍🤩🤩although the hair is damaged. You did you a good job in getting her hair back in shape🤗
Really cause I hate that orange hair shit. I tried to bleach my hair blonde and any trace of copper I had a fit.

What color is this?😍😍
This looks so bomb sis 👏🏽👏🏽 Job well done looks so much healthier after the cut 💜
Omg heyyy
You must and have to take care of color!
You sure do! I just dyed mine and afterwards it was extremely dry. But with a ton of moisture I don't have any damage or breakage!
Geminii Love what did you do to put moisture in your hair?
How do you take care of coloured hair?
; The Tongue Of Angels really making sure it’s moisturized and protein treatment. When it gets dry that’s when it especially breaks off! Or even when it’s too clumped together in moisture. You take care of it by knowing the balance between moisturizing it basically just as you would do your normal hair but color needs it more frequently.
No such thing. Chemicals and heat are damaging. After you do this and kill the hair--it’s over, unless you cut it. At best, you can make it LOOK healthy. But that’s it. 🤷🏽♀️
Anyone else feel literally ill when our hair is damaged, then relieved as heck after that good deep cut!! 🙌🏅❤😍
It's one of the best satisfactions I've experienced too
This is why I will NEVER die my hair again. My hair has never gotten past my shoulders. But now that it’s black👌🏾✨
This👏 comment👏 right 👏 here! Is the absolute truth.....Im a witness to this!!!!!
My current attitude..! Like nahh, y’all can have it.
I totally agree! I’m dealing with shoulder length damage colored hair and I regret it so much. I didn’t like the color the stylist used anyway so that made matters worse. Never again!
Her hair looks so much more healthier with the cut and she looks great with a short cut also x
Too much cut in my opinion. The damage was not that far up.
I agree!
I said the same thing some stylist get scissor happy you could see where it needed to be cut and it wasn't WAY up there
Yes it was, all of the hair that's colored is dry and brittle like straw. That can't be reversed.
That color will do you in every time if you’re not careful!
I was loving everything till the chopping part, it hurt ... Years of growth gone just like that but the end justified everything
Color is pretty, cut off too much hair in my opinion. But it still looks good....
She wouldn't be cutting my hair.
Lol why. Those dead ends had to go.
Those are dead ends. They had to be cut
Beautiful but the bob could have been longer 👏👏👏👏👏
I agree!
It looked amazing at the end. You did indeed make it look good but damn that was so much heat applied. Rollers, blower and wrapping it up for a few hours would have been much healthier. Also, good cut.
Hairdressers: “client’s hair is so damaged....”
Also Hairdressers: *puts on tons of heat....*
Looks beautiful though!!!
Using heat doesn’t ultimately damage hair . Using heat ALL the time does . Without moisturizing and taking care of your hair and etc
I was thinking the same thing! The worst thing you can do to damaged hair is apply heat on top of everything else. She flat ironed twice in the video and blow dried it, (heat x 3) it looks good but for me this was alot of heat for damaged hair.
She was recognizing its state & also its obvious the client is a heat trained/straight hair natural lmao she wants this style & its still healthier than any relaxer
Deese Nuts ....That’s like saying pizza is healthier than a hamburger. They’re both bad. But I get what you’re saying.
Very nice cut!!👍🏽 It looks so healthy and it has a lot of movement. I wish it was me. I need a cut bad!! But thanks to Convid-19, I don't know when that will happen?😢
I’m really just trying to see where the damage hair at. Her hair is beautiful she just have thin ends that aren’t even. You cut to much hair in my opinion.
Bruh 😂😂
@@notquitelikeni5721 ??
Cut too much, could of got the same results, with not that much taken off, her color hair is also beautiful and so is she.
I so love that she was cool with cutting the damage but people want to retain the length despite the damage!!! Beautiful!!
I call that "hair happy". Some girls are just happy to have hair, even if it's damaged.
0.56 secs still had flakes that you could see while in knots and being blown dried,/straightened
I wish blk women will understand those colors products are not made blk pl hair . definitely not against color but we need to start paying more attention to our hair when it comes to coloring
Learned my lesson and it took me over 15 yrs......I will NEVER EVER TOUCH COLOR AGAIN AS LONG AS I LIVE!!!! My natural hair was colored so much that after 15 or so yrs of doing it my hair became gummy and then fell out in clumps (I had thick hair and it was past bra strap length)....That whole keep your head moisturized was a joke the only moisture that works is wetting your whole head and walking around with a wet hairstyle. Ive big chopped 3 times bc of color and shaved my head once. So.....I started studying Ayurvedic Medicine for hair. After shaving my head May of 2019 its now June 2020 and Im natural no color, reaching towards bra strap length again. Thats bc I cook up my own oils for hair growth. Color is the devil 😈, idc if you go to the salon or do it at home. Its the devil!!!!!!
The dye job itself was ... did she lowkey do it herself?? Hot spots etc You’re so kind to explain what you did/used to revive her hair! 🖤
She was not happy with this cut ...she could have saved an inch more of hair
You did a nice job but I don't think you needed to cut that much, that's my personal opinion I'm not trying to throw you or make you look bad.
Hate it when folks hold on to dead ends for length. I trim my hair often taking off 2-3 inches at a time and it grows back in now time. I wear my hair wet curly alot so it get dry thats why I trim it so much.
This looks so great and the fact that you took her hair from that state and made it amazing, you deserve a round of applause
She cut too much at t he beginning
I agree!
She cut too much she could've kept 2-3 healthy inches
Too much cut off. I fee like it would have looked just as healthy with a little more length left too it. Yes the cut is nice but all that was cut did not need to be.
It looks amazing afterwards! Also, for those who are cringing at the amount cut off, one good thing about hair is, is that it grows back. So, just as long as she takes care of it after getting help with it, it’ll be fine.
People need to know that healthy hair comes first and then length I have waist length curly hair and I did a lot to achieve that. Trimming on time, having a good regimen and using hair vitamins and drinking a lot of water.
Salicylic acid and sulfur shampoos help with dandruff.
There is nothing more satisfying than watching dead ends being chopped 😍
That was a lot of length taken off...
Too much !
@@shamekaglover7043 I agree. My mouth dropped.
Her hair looks healthy though. It was so stringy before
I agree!
You do realize her hair is very damaged. What’s the point in holding on to all that damage? Just to say you got 7 inches even if it’s see through lmao
Nope!
The color is what is damaging her hair. Some people are too lazy or uneducated to take care of the colored hair which uses expensive and different products than their black or natural hair color. Sorry to say but until she gets the lighter color out her hair or educate herself on what products works best for her hair her hair will continue to stay damaged, over processed, thin and unhealthy! I'm just saying. Her hair was thick and more healthier before she'd gotten the silk press!
Thank you!👍
Amen!!!
Color doesn't pay in the long-run😞
I would like to know who colored her hair. And why they didn't take care of it
So pretty - yes the length or inches cut does not matter! She trusted you and you did not disappoint! So satisfying when you made that first cut. Why is that so soothing to the soul! You do great work with those shears!
Hair grows back especially when taking care of properly. Beautiful results! If you can see the color of my shirt through my hair while down my back..Please cut it that's not cute.
this is why i don’t mess with color anymore.
she cut way too much. but is looks very pretty
Too much ?! Lol we wanted to cut off more! ✂️✂️
Health of hair is more important than the length 🤷🏾♀️. Hopefully people learn that if they put harsh chemicals in their hair, then they have to manage it properly or else they’ll have to get it chopped off 🤷🏾♀️
Her hair is really beautiful, but is there anything she can do about those huge flakes of dandruff?
How was the hair damaged?
Nellius wayua Kiio the ends. She didn’t do this, but sometimes stylist will put a white piece of paper under you hair. And you can then see where the hair becomes thin due to split ends. That shows the stylist where to cut. Some ppl try to hold onto length. But if the hair is splitting it’s pointless, bc it will continue to split up the shaft and you will lose more hair.
Amazing how how good healthy hair is after a good cut.
Cin doll do these colors all the time it's the way you take care of your color their hair is long strong healthy an beautiful with proper care you can have blonde I do.
A thumbs up just for blow drying her hair in sections. That paddle brush method on natural hair makes me cringe. Your technique is superior to many salons who only focus on style not health.
I feel the same exact way 😖😖! Thanks for watching !
My new stylist does the paddle brush. I dont like it. How can I nicely ask her not to do it?
Im curious.. Whats wrong with he paddle brush method??
Does she have psoriasis or just dandruff from not caring for her scalp? It looks so DRY. You did a miracle with that mess.
I was looking for this comment. How does one let their hair get this way? She must have been scratching constantly with her pretty nails.
It looks so healthy now!
It looks healthier...but its not healthy... she definitely needed that cut
Ive NEVER colored my hair.
But Im going to start soon.
What sort of color harms natural hair?
It’s usually not the dyes that cause damage, it’s the level of developer used and above all, bleach. Lightening the hair is one of the fastest ways to damage your hair, especially when it isn’t done properly. Be careful and educate yourself on how best take care of your hair for your specific hair needs and goals. Moisture and protein are the 2 key things colored, over processed hair needs. But also keep in mind that although there’s no such thing as over moisturizing, you can add too much protein aka keratin to the hair. With too much protein, it causes the hair to become brittle and dry and prone to ends snapping.
And although I’m not specialized in ethnic/ Afro centric hair, the same still applies. Semi and Demi perm dyes deposit color only and usually leave a glossy protective finish. It’s perfect for someone who is just getting into color and still wants healthy, shiny looking hair.
@@supreme_aset777 Im a cancer survivor. And it took a while to gain length and thickness. But Im here now. Facially, I can easily pass for 30. But my hair color reflects my true age. (Imagine Danielle Brookes in coloring and stature) Im thinking a deeeep burgundy manic panic?
She’s adorable and her hair is beautiful! Good job.
I love a straightening comb!
Me too! I still use mine.
ME TOO SIS!!!
Why dont stylists use hot combs anymore?
Are flat irons the new trend?
Are flat irons safer for the hair?
Im ball headed so im really curious.
#RealQuestion
Oh my GOSH I'm going to cry with her hair getting cut. My hair is damaged but I've been avoiding going to the stylist because I don't want them to tell me I have to cut it off. My hair is literally down to my butt. And it takes forever to grow hair.
sis 😭😭😭😭
my hair is that length too and i deadass don't wanna trim the split ends off! i wish you all the best!!
YOU DID CRAZY GOOD ITS SO HARD TO GET HAIR BACK TO A HEALTHY STATE AGAIN BUT HOLY CRAP THIS WAS
AMAZING!!!!
this is Nikki andersonn. iiam not setting in your dam chair
Silky and lots of movement
this is Nikki anderson my my mother does my hair
she looks cute with short hair tho
I saw the client give that tight lipped look. I feel you Hun. It will grow back.
You have to be able to trust your stylist. Because not everyone who finished school can do hair, and some cut hair just to be be cutting it. This young lady needed all that hair cut though
Health over lenght, that's my new motto ❤️ u did great there
Great job!!!👍👏👏💯
Her hair looks much healthier after you cut it.
Leave in conditioner & moisturizer is key when you color your hair.♥👑💞🤗
Heat training/damage>>> Relaxers
She cut too much. Hair style cute though.
How do you work that out, her hair was badly damaged, she’s very lucky she didn’t take all that was necessary off because that colour is wrong and dry.
Y’all love holding onto dead hair 💀
serendipity it’s true and a lot of black women can’t understand that you had to cut your hair regularly to allow it to grow. They want to hang onto this 10 strands of hair that is down their back even when the rest of their hair is has gone to ground, crazy 😆
@Melanie Stuckey: I think she cut too much too plus the dandruff from 0.56 to the end was real & still noticeable. Even Moknowshair ruclips.net/video/mJ5vUo9ax_w/видео.html & Janay Mickles ruclips.net/video/VHIVp0M6cPk/видео.html
ruclips.net/video/g8o7TWqlhA4/видео.html
on RUclips would carefully cut but it looks nice but curl could've been tighter especially if she's gone wrap it. My daughter's hair is to her butt,5'4 and I don't chop alot nor Dominican whenever she goes. Only if she gets headaches from it being too long..
Hard to believe she let her hair get that bad. Now it's beautiful.
Aww the client looked like she wanted to cry. Remind her that healthy hair will grow back!
When the music cut her off at 4:59 💀😭
what’s up with the dandruff
🤣🤣🤦
Man my aunt is the best with the hot comb she can straighten and curl my hair with the hot comb i don't see may people that use them these days
Can I ask a question? Wouldn't a hot comb be more damaging because you can't control the temperature on it? And wow I've never seen someone curl with a hot comb😲
@@emilyhope426 if you know what you are doing you can control the temperature. Cosmetologists know how 😘
and the wise ones like my Mom😘God rest her soul💋
If my hair was severely damaged but it was mid back length & my stylist said that I'd have to choose between hair length & hair health I'd kindly get up & walk out of the salon because I'd always choose length over health. Besides I'm not trying to impress anyone other than myself.
Yup those ends needed to go
She cut like 6-7 inches
Where is she located?
Looks beautiful ❤. Ironically, my hair is the same exact color and just as damaged, mainly in the front 😢
Is it me or the cut could have been longer 😭
No I thought so too....or at least it could have been cut into a more trendy bob. I wasn't thrilled by the end result.
Her hair looks amazing and you got all that dandruff out! Kudos girl
Health over length
It’s so nice to see those bad ends cut now her hair will really flourish!
This is why I don't get color anymore...I love color but for some reason I can't keep up with it. Like some ppl can get it and their hair is healthy and stuff...not me. Lol, but you did great!!
No. Cut too much of. The bottom 2 inches would’ve suffice to treat the split ends. This is why people claim black women don’t have long hair. Too eager to cut off those ends. Only the bottom was split, not 5 inches worth. If you want your hair to growing stop cutting 5 inches off.
I did this mess. I colored my hair just to put them in braids. Now i'm over here looking crazy with damaged hair. I had just got a trim before I colored it. 😩😩
When I first started watching, I didn’t think that hair could be restored, but she did that. Beautiful results😍😍
Her hair still damaged... she didn't do anything but put more heat on it...like that shampoo ain't do nothing...it looks nice but you can't revert damaged heat or colored hair...
Cut too much off the ends. That 5 inches of hair was not damaged. You can always tell when hair is damaged. Stop cutting black womens hair off. Ugh. I hate that.
Good job. Her hair looks amazing. Stay safe
🙏
I hope she gave you a NICE TIP !
I understand the damaged hair MUST GO! But I must admit, I did cringe when you started cutting.....even covered my eyes at one point cause I couldn’t take it 🤦♀️. Anyway, great job hun.
So the video doesn't show how you "restored" her hair
It's going to grow back so beautifully if she takes care of it.
Nice Job!
I love your work beautiful job amazing you keep surprising me i am obsessed with your work
