This looks so fun. I’ve been imagining of building a go kart, a powerful one. But it wouldn’t be track focused, I would put a light body around it and focus on more driving pleasure. Maybe a nice steering wheel and if I want, add some lights to it! This helped me see the performance for these HP values, thanks.

i drove a ka 100 once when i had a lo206, it was incredible the grip of these things, now i cant imagine how a f1 with 2 turbos in the back of your sit having 1200hp would feel at a small racetrack like monaco
The 30hp carts look hella fun, just dunno where to try them lol. I have a 10hp cart thats fun but not very fast im upgrading the engine on it and it will have more
Yep. A lot of to learn with the kz😄 pushing the limits step by step. No space for frightness in that kart if you wanna get quick. That kart is a monster haha. Ever drove a kz-2? 😄
The 9-13hp karts are SOO rough on your hands/forearms. Totally toast after a few laps :D The heavy rental kart weight tries to force the steering wheel back to center so hard you have to grip the wheel tight. My 125 shifter is way easier on the hands but the more taxing full body.
@@MeskaRacing Hehe, I gotta make my shifter run to remember, I was 11yrs old driving a cr125 shifter and wanted seconds after the gasoline was out but when I drove a rental at 28yo my arms were done after the first 5 or 10minute session😁

@@MeskaRacing Let's agree to disagree. I learned from a masterclass by a European Champion KZ that you NEVER lean inwards, no matter what type of kart, tyre or whatever.
@@gertebert I meant to say that with rental karts you lean outwards(because of the hard tyres) and on kz neutral position. Also learning from a EUROPEAN CHAMPION. Another thing. The camera is on my helmet so if I shift my shoulders outwards my head doesn't move much only my back. And I don't remember exactly what was my knowlegde back then when I made those runs 😄

13 hp looks like the most fun to me. 30 hp and above looks like anyone who doesn't excercise will have trouble to control the cart properly.

The 9-13hp karts are SOO rough on your hands/forearms. Totally toast after a few laps :D The heavy rental kart weight tries to force the steering wheel back to center so hard you have to grip the wheel tight. My 125 shifter is way easier on the hands but the more taxing full body.
Not in my case. The shifter hits me like I'm in the gym doing all body parts simultaneously. My forearms get sore quite quickly.

It would be hard on body for a endurance race. But 10min race not so much.

Your driving style is completely wrong. It is horrible. NEVER lean inwards, always lean outwards when cornering.
It depends on the kart, grip and tyre compound. In rental karts you lean outwards because the tyres are hard compound

@@MeskaRacing Lean away from the Corner.... The rear axle is fixed.... That is the fastest way.... In all Karts.
@@gj91471 I agree. Especially in rain and low grip situations leaning outwards and using your weight helps to cut the lap time a lot 🙂
