Oh My Gosh! Best box design. I think one reason I love it so much is the design of the stand. Making it a dimensional piece of the backdrop inbox is such a wonderful idea. Could all stands be an example of the vibe and story of each doll? What a fantastic idea!
I'm so glad you called out those horrid elbow joints. My Creature has the exact same issue. She's my first Skullector which made the fragile elbows even more disappointing. Overall though, I absolutely LOVE her. She's stunning and the level of detail is wild. Also, I highly recommend you watch the movie! It is delightfully hokey! 😆

It's a classic creature feature and it's not scary anymore. It's really good. Would have been scary back then but our horror movie trailers are 5000 times scarier than anything in these old movies now. It's great and I love the characters. My grandpa showed it to me. Fantastic movie!! You should watch!

Just a little word about buying on eBay - there have been times when I have found the collector dolls for a really reasonable price from a seller who accidentally bought two, or got an extra one from a friend/family member. But yes, I agree with you Chad - the way over inflated prices are outlandish and a problem that I hope Mattel will fix in the near future. My pet peeve about these sales is this: I have money and want to buy a doll, but I can’t buy a doll because of the frenzy selling practices? It’s very frustrating.

This is another doll a passed on. In part becuz I told myself I wud and in part to be courteous to horror fans and completionists. But, in a world where this doll were widely available and in stock, I would have bought in a heartbeat. I've never seen the movie, but the way this was done is just soooo cool and pretty
The stand is supposed to fit around her thigh! so that should solve the height issue you were concerned about, you can see how it works in some of the photos mattel provided on their website.
hello big fan of the film i'd like to put in that the skeleton hand is likely referencing the fossil found of creature (a different one was crushed by rock and they found a hand) in the beginning of the movie that caused the scientist to search for him to start :') amazing details with this one
I haven’t unboxed any of my skullector bit I did notice even on the creepros the joints just don’t move like they should. I wonder why the articulation somehow got worse with these issues. If I ever do unbox some skullectors I’ll be extra careful.

I do think they did a good job with this doll. Not for the price point, because she's in a BATHING SUIT, but the doll is nice. However, that wasn't my opinion of Frankenstein or Dracula so I'm not going to randomly purchase a doll of the Creature of the Black Lagoon, even if it was the best doll I've ever seen in my life.
